Thoughts?

Sagarin has them at #3 in this week's ratings. Many people believed that they would be 1-2 at this point before the season, yet they're 3-0 and have won every game by 10+ points. The offense is absolutely littered with talent, and the defense is better than most expected.

Plus, they have sweet jerseys. @)

It certainly seemed that the West Coast cappers on this site were not very familiar with UC and didn't seem to know much about them, which caused them to discount them. I'd be interested to see if any of them now respect UC, although unfortunately they were playing at a time when not many people were watching.

I'm not saying they will go undefeated or anything, but I think they are likely still way off most people's radar, but they belong right there in the discussion. This is a top 12 team at least, what they did last weekend is very tough to do, and I think Oreg St is going to win plenty of games this season (starting this weekend) as long as Quizz stays healthy.

They aren't the third best team in the nation, but they are very solid overall. Very good team...

Perhaps you are referring to the Big East in general, but as far as OOC goes, I don't know many people who have scheduled 3 teams more solid than Illinois, Fresno, and playing a game at Oregon St. It is certainly tougher than any SEC OOC schedule. Granted none of them are ranked (yet, Oreg St should be by end of year), but most other teams play one ranked team OOC and then load up on cupcakes.

They looked great dismantling the Jersey boys on opening day.
I thought RU was going to be the best of the east, that's out the window, Big East is theirs for the losing.

They can not afford to let Fresno beat them in their back yard of Saturday though, even if the game has no Big East standing implications.

Ok st, Ariz St, and Ga tech is harder OOC for sure (UGA). but they are a pretty decent team

cinci is really good. pike is on fire and the d is playing good but i dont think they are worthy of being 14 pt faves. i think fresno loses by 7 to 10.

they are very good. Solid on defense, well coached and explosive skilled players.

they are overlooked because

1) they are new comers

2) they play in the consistently undervalued Big East

I'm ok with that, stay away boys, nothing to see here.

Go pound USC and Florida - 36.5 or something

Sounds a lot like a certain Big East team who is 3-0 ATS that just won outright as double digit dogs in Waco.

I think Cincy is good but they won't cover this weekend
Not too sure about that as the game starts at 12:00 eastern time
and the Fresno defense will be liining up at breakfast time to stop
a very talented offense. This game could easily get out of control if Fresno's offense goes into their turnover mode. :drink:
