Just how cold is it if you live in the Northeast?

I hate it when it is this cold. I have to wear pants at this temp and a jacket in the morning.

Last night, got down to -34 Real, -48 Wind Chill. Wind chill -51 a couple of hours north.

Supposedly it was colder here than it was on Mars.

Mars can get pretty cold, but Halifax you are right depending on the season, temperatures on Mars are warmer than wherever you are. The average temperature on Mars is about 218 K (-55 C, -67 F), Martian surface temperatures range widely from as little as 140 K (-133 C, -207 F) at the winter pole to almost 300 K (27 C, 80 F) on the day side during summer, very toasty indeed.
