Doc was banned because he was dropping the IQ of the forum by 25 points. He would bait people into name calling and unrational arguments, he would post the same garbage over and over. I think he has a brain in his head, you I'm not so sure about, now that he's back lets hope he uses it for quality posts and not to flood the forum with fucking useless garbage.

I didnt comment much when Doc was banned, for I believed he would return. Doc was improving when the ban was implemented.

After returning this evening after being away a few days, this thread isnt much a surprise except I thought the ban would have been at least one month.

As long as he isnt hijacking threads, most of the other stuff is tolerable.

I hope everyone (Doc included) enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend...I sure did.

My grandmother suffered a serious stroke last Wednesday and so I am spending the majority of my time in the hospital with her. She took another bad turn yesterday, so my return to this forum is up in the air right now.

Wil and I discussed the possibility of my moderating in other forums and helping out with contests and such. Should Doc return to his old ways, I cannot realistically spend 2 hours a day moderating him and the antics of the other posters in response to him.

For now, I am focusing on my family and leaving you folks be to see how things shape up in here.

Rx. management had me unban Doc Mercer. After reading the Doc Mercer Banned Thread they decided there was enough pro Doc Mercer sentiment to warrant unbanning him.


Moderators had nothing to do with this decision.

I know some of you will be upset - I would advise that you post your feelings but please try to remain civil.

A total slap in the face of Wilheim and newly hired moderator Xpanda to quickly overturn their decision.

Without considering the hundreds of spam and ignorant shot-taking posts, if directly posting several vulgar and disrespectful posts at a moderator doesnt justify a ban, what does?

Thank you, Eek. She's doing pretty well, the stroke wasn't too severe. She had a really tiny one a month ago, so that's the big worry right now. Her speech is coming around, and she was sitting in a chair today having dinner, so that was really positive. One day at a time. She is one tough lady, though; especially for 91. She'll pull through this.
