A witness makes a statement about the defendant and the defense attorney says Objection. The judge says sustained, jurors, please disregard that last comment. WTF, as a juror, your suppose to just hit erase and act as if you didn't hear it?

:WTF:

Yes. The Judge knows best. If the Judge says that you should forget about the last comment that you must trust the Judge that the comment will play no bearing on the case at hand.

Best way is to just try and avoid Jury duty altogether.

If you ever get a summons to serve on jury duty just show up 5 minutes late and say "Sorry I was late but a fvcking "zipperhead" cut me off, then in the parking lot a "afro american" tried to jack my car. That should get you out of there fairly quickly.

For a second I thought The General had jury duty, now that would be interesting.

I doubt I could do it Jman, especially a long trial. I mean what if I wanted to drink a couple beers? Is that allowed at break?

Becomes something you can't use either way in making up your decision

C'mon brock, it's like laying off a bet. I'll just disagree on another piece of evidence if I think the comment was true or persuaded my opinion.

Actually, the best way to around that situation is to avoid jury duty. I've lived here for 19 years and gotten about a dozen notices. The next time I call or show up will be the first time. I've got better things to do. Such as changing the air in my spare tire.

Besides, it's incredibly inconvenient. If you're there sitting around to see if you get picked and you need to check a price, make a bet or get a score; you may not be able to. There was one time I was going to call but I realized there were two days of Champion's League soccer matches coming up and those matches start at 11:45 am so that wouldn't have worked. As I said, best to avoid it all together.
