real cause of our huge deficit! Junior stated that "The reason we are where we are, in terms of the deficit, is because we went through a recession, we were attacked and we're fighting a war."

But according to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office, the single biggest cause of the deficit is Junior's massive tax cuts for the wealthy which he conveniently did not mention in his State of the Union message. Specifically, 36% of the deficit comes from tax cuts, while 31% comes from defense/war related spending increases and the rest comes from the general economic slowdown. In other words Junior and his band of coward thugs are falsely invoking national security, the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and the war in Iraq to hide the fact that his tax cuts for the wealthy (which BTW includes me, I made a ton of $$$ under Bubba) have created the largest deficit in American history.

With 88% of Americans now believing that the deficit is a "very serious problem," Junior is still trying to blame government spending (the war) for his deficit. But again, as the CBO notes, spending is at "a lower level than in any year from 1975 through 1996." And as Junior and the chickenhawks try to starve Veterans health care, low-income housing and health care programs of funding, he is pushing more than $1 trillion in new tax cuts, primarily for his rich cronies who got him appointed.

Thinks about it in November, especially if you are a parent or grandparent!

Lt. Dan, could you please cite the specific CBO report to which you are referring?

Before anyone even thinks much about Lt. Dan, I am not him. I have no ghost posting handles, with neither the time, nor the inclination to even bother with any.

If you look at Junior's 2004 budget, Table S-3, this shows unambiguously that the administration's fiscal 2004 budget proposes a massive annual increase in the deficit and without those proposals the nation would return to a surplus. Maybe the younger generation enjoys being lied to. Lt. Dan will not be patronized by a gang of liars and cowards.

I don't know who Wilheim is but if he is a brother then he has my "respect." I travel all over the world and use my brother-in law's residence as a home base to spread the truth when I am in town. This website is on a list that I was assigned to counter prevaricators like Junky Limbaugh.

Lt. Dan, you are dangerous. You clearly distorted the information from table S-3 to serve your political view. You know that Table S-3 unambiguously documents a projected significant reduction in the budget deficit each year from 2004 to 2008. Its purpose was to breakdown those items which contribute to the deficit each year.

el Rushbo,

Maybe you should go back into rehab. You are starting to hallucinate again. Just remember that even paranoid people have real enemies.

Lt. Dan,

I have a real ( blood ) brother who has fought in both Iraq wars and flew many a missions over Afganistan and other countries. He now is in special ops. Do you respect him? He wears the colors. I doubt very much he would respect your views.
He's just a major though.

I was actually discharged as an O-3. There is not much need for a one handed and one eyed Captain in the Corps. I want to retain a lesser rank so I can be like my hero, Lt. GW Bush, fighter pilot. Again, anyone who has answered their Country's call, is alright in Lt. Dan's book!
