Rule Change???

Lucky 13 for this month! Last payment just received, everyone in & paid. Good luck to all!

If we do this again I propose a rule change that out of the 70 plays u MUST USE 2 3 unit plays instead of it being optional. I was just thinking if you are up 600 going into last day and you are at 68 plays and haven't used your 3's it would be more exciting.

THOUGHTS??

I'd prefer 3 payments. I think it makes it more achievable for us to shoot for. Getting your next month's payment taken care of is something worth shooting for for third.

There is enough payment at the top for the winner and second place to stretch to third, I don't care if we only have 10 entries.

The longer any of us have a chance for a piece of the money, the more fun the contest is. Plus the 3 slots left some thought as to strategy for the last few days of picks for the contenders last month. Give up third or second to go for the top.

Anyone else feel this way or am I alone?

I'll go with the majority on both issues here.

If you can get that far ahead of everybody else without using the 3 unit plays then you had a great month. The 3 unit plays are a nice way to help somebody trailing the leaders catch up. If you can build your lead large enough to win without using them then I don’t feel they should be mandatory however I would be fine either way you guys decide to do it.

I am fine with top 3 people getting paid, keeps more people alive and hopeful in the contest for a longer period of time.

I agree with hockey on this. The use of the 3 units (or non use) creates options for different strategies for different people.

What are you guys thoughts on the payouts? 2 or 3?

I cool with 3 prize places as long as we have 12+ people. 10 people or less I think you got to go 2 places. I get what your saying but I’d rather have a bigger prize for 1st considering it is a month of action. Thats just me though, I always lean for more for 1st than more places paid.

I would also vote on keeping the 3 unit plays optional.

3 units optional

$1000, $200, $100 payout

My 2 cents.

I'm down for whatever but I would say
1-7 people: 1 payout
8-12 people: 2 payouts
13+ people: 3 payouts

I vote to pay 3 places and also keep the 3 unit plays optional.

Some people are smart and don't blow them early and put themselves in a hole like me, so more power to the ones who don't need them.

They are enticing to make a big jump and are a good way to make it more exciting in the end of they are available.

Since I am leading, I vote for 2 places....but I will admit, that is corrupt of me.

As for the 3 Unit plays, I definitely vote for keeping it optional....whether I am leading or not. It is a part of the strategy of the game, when to use them, or to not use them at all.....and yes, like hockey says....if you can build up a big lead without using the 3 units plays, then you had a great month

I like the 3 payouts to keep it interesting if we have over 10 players as we do this month. Think 3u plays should be optional as well, i would however prefer a set amount of plays at either 70 or 75. Just a thought.
