I don't care about Lebron James even though I was born in Akron, Ohio. But Micheal Jordan is the most exciting player to watch from scoring, clutch, defense, and won 6 championship with the Chicago Bulls. Lebron James is still young and getting better in his game. We just got to wait and see how He do even though he's about to reach his prime.

I'd have to say Jordan although I am a big fan of Lebron and think he is phenomenal. Also, aside from talent Jordan had charisma that Lebron will never have.

:>(how about we wait until Lebron is done and then we can break down the resumé... He's only 24 years old....

In shock that people would even think to bring this question up. :>(

It's sad, and even insulting, on some levels..

No disrespect intended Eric7..

I read a basketball article just today, which made mention of the same blasphemy. :puke1:

You'd be surprised by the one sided responses you will receive, from people who know basketball.

The question does not deserve a response, which is why, I regret the last few minutes of my life... ##)

I'll be the first person to say as of right now Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player EVER.

Though, It's really getting pathetic how "untouchable" people are making Jordan. It's like no matter what anybody does, it wouldn't matter Jordan would still be the best. It's like it's a joke to compare anyone to Jordan or even mention him in the same sentence? Yes, I understand his stats, rings, and performance were just absolutely incredible but he there will be a better player eventually.

In my honest opinion Lebron James will be the greatest player ever by the time he retires. That's just what I believe, based not only on his skill but the fact that physically he's built like no other player EVER has in NBA history. Speed, athleticism, quickness, strength...it's unreal. He's only 24 though, so lets wait 10 years before we compare seriously.

No question Michael Jordan right now is the greatest major sports athlete to ever exists... but you gotta admit what Lebron James has done to a franchise that people didn't even know existed before he was there is absolutely amazing. Now you can't go a week with out the Cavs on television, they are the #1 team in the league.

If lebron gets couple rings and has couple more games like that one playoff game against the Pistons couple years ago... then it will be a serious question!

Not really "pathetic" how untouchable he is, in this respect. Just obvious. In 10 years maybe the conversation has some fuel, but for now it's a dead engine. You seem to agree with that, (highlighted) so not sure why you don't understand why he is "untouchable" in this regard, at this point and time (which is where we find ourselves now) :103631605

LeBron is going to battle for rings with Kobe, Wade, Garnett/Pierce, D.Howard, Deron, C.Paul, Durant, and I could name a half dozen more. There was no star power in numbers like this in the early-mid 90s.

Sekrah is right...

When Jordan was finally able to win anything, it was because the then-greatest players ever in Bird & Magic (and Kareem) were ending their careers.

Right now, Lebron is better than a same-aged Jordan - but to be called the best player ever he needs (imo) at least 4 or 5 rings when it's all said and done...

Good Post Sekrah.

I would think LeBron will get started on his ring(s) with-in the next 4 years.

I wish LeBron disliked other player/teams like Jordan did, you think MJ would hug the Bad Boys before every game?

Jordan won his 1st ring in 1990-1991
LeBron would have to start winning rings next year.

LeBron could improve his FT% but the stats are not too different.

Time will tell, nice to see people with an opinion, but don't let facts get in your way. LeBron needs rings to be the best.

Do me a favor and look at Jordan's 86-87 year or 87-88 and tell me that people are "stupid for thinking Jordan at 24 is better than LeBron at 24".
