Jones not leaving Ohio State

big press conference to announce he is staying, i thought for sure he was leaving. Said his education will take him further in life then a career in the NFL... i must say i was i impressed listening to him talk. He has matured very much from 3 years ago.

Didn't watch the press conference but whether he has truly matured or not, it looks good and you can fool people easily. Probably didn't have too much confidence in his draft stock after just 3 games. Try and act mature, have 1 more good year, then really get paid.

If he comes back, wins the starting job, and shows he can play at the same level for an entire season his stock will go up. That's a lot of if's, but not as many as him making it in the NFL after playing 3 games in college (after being 3rd string QB the entire year).

Perhaps Jones has better NFL potential than the other guys, but doesn't fit Meyer's system as well, hence 3rd string.

Advantage to Jones with limited game film to pick apart his weaknesses. Peolpe will start to get his tendancies. I was amazed that Oregon continued to push its rush up the field allowing Jones to tuck abd run. He is a specimen, though.
