Pedro was the best pitcher I ever saw live in person... He had a good chunk of time where he was just unstoppable. What a top 3 this year.

Seems to me that to be in the HOF you would have had to be a great player... Biggio wasn't even close to being a great player...

When you watched Johnson, Pedro and Smoltz, you knew you were watching greatness. Those 3 belong. Biggio was a nice player, but was by no means great or HOF worthy.

The voters should stop with the hypocrisy about the alleged steroids guys. Gaylord Perry won by cheating. How many HOFs took amphetamines to play better? The Hall is filled with players that used performance enhancing help (legal and illegal). Bonds, Clemens, Piazza all belong in

Whoever voted for Aaron "fucking" Boone should lose voting privileges . Especially considering the fact that there is a 70% chance that same person did not vote for Bonds who was the most dominant hitter in the history of baseball.

There was even one vote for Darrin Erstad.

Whoever didn't vote for Martinez and Johnson should lose their privilege.

The HOF should annually disqualify any voter who:

Fails to vote Yes for a player who receives 95%+ of overall votes

and/or

Votes for any player who receives only 5% of overall votes

This would be my thought as well.

Piazza not getting in again is a total joke.

Pure nonsense! Many better players than Piazza had to wait their turn! Big John Mize had to wait till the Veterans committee to vote him in. He led his league in all the triple crown catagories HR's 4X, RBI's 2X, Average once. Also in SLG. 4X OPS 3X. Piazza has almost no black ink. Mize wasn't called the 'Big Cat' for nothing, his defensive skills also were immense unlike Piazza.

Fan Elorater: Rates John Mize the #26 best offensive player of all time, while Piazza is rated #45. The Elo rating system is a method for calculating the relative skill levels of players. If John Mize had to wait over 15 years to get in surely Piazza can wait more than three years.
