Johnny Manziel missed a helicopter flight Saturday to the Hamptons, where he was expected to host a small Memorial Day weekend party for friends and family, the New York Post's Page Six is reporting.
Some of Manziel's family members decided to leave without him after trying unsuccessfully for 15 minutes to reach him.
The last time Manziel has been seen was Friday night, according to the report, when he was involved in a confrontation outside the Trump Soho in lower Manhattan. TMZ has video of Wayne Schneider — the owner of Precision Concierge, the company from which Manziel and his friends rented a Mercedes they ended up crashing in Los Angeles last month — blocking the vehicle Manziel was riding in and demanding money.
People have been lining up to take shots at Manziel recently, and his behavior has invited this type of treatment. But with friends saying his drinking and drug use have him in a “horrible downward spiral," and his own father expressing concern about his son’s life, perhaps Manziel’s current state of being calls for a certain level of sympathy.

Page Six reports that Manziel was supposed to host a small family party in the Hamptons over the holiday weekend. Manziel, who has spent most of his time this offseason in the Los Angeles area, was supposed to take a helicopter to the east coast, but he reportedly failed to show up for his flight. Some members of Manziel’s family tried to contact him for 15 minutes but ended up leaving because he wouldn’t answer their calls.

You might think that’s a minor thing, and it’s possible there was just some sort of miscommunication. However, a report that Manziel stood his own family up is more concerning when you hear rumors that his friends are concerned about the NFL free agent’s drug problem. Not to mention, Manziel’s own father said a few months ago that he is afraid his son is going to die.

While it’s unclear why he didn’t make it to the Hamptons, we know that Manziel was in New York as recently as Friday when the owner of a rental car company confronted him over money he claims Manziel owes him. The artist formerly known as Johnny Football can’t stay out of his own way.

Wayne Schneider, the owner of a luxury Los Angeles rental car company, tried to confront Johnny Manziel on Friday over some money he claims the former NFL quarterback owes him, but Manziel would not get out of his vehicle to talk to Schneider.

A video that was taken by TMZ in New York City showed Manziel getting into the back of an SUV. Moments later, several cars blocked the SUV from driving away, and Schneider was seen yelling to Manziel to come out of the car. Manziel stayed put.

“Straight punk. Straight b—h,” Schneider later told TMZ. “He’s not paying for nothing. Look what he just did — he couldn’t even get out of the car to talk. He’s been dodging for a month and a half. I try to keep giving him opportunities not to (go to court) and be like men and handle your business.”

As TMZ reported earlier in the week, Schneider claims Manziel promised him he was going to buy him a new $90,000 Mercedes after the 24-year-old was a passenger in a hit-and-run last month. The car was left totaled, and Manziel was picked up by one of his troubled former teammates.
Schneider said that Manziel has continued to rent cars from his company, Precision Concierge, through his friends.

I guess we can just add this to the list of problems Manziel has piled up in his life.

Manziel not missing, rep says she's spoken with him.

A little bit of a fury was caused on Monday when a report said Johnny Manziel had gone missing. Apparently that was slightly overstated.

Manziel’s rep Denise Michaels told Cleveland.com that she has spoken with her client “several times” in the past 24 hours. She also says other people have spoken with him, too.

The New York Post’s Page Six says Manziel was supposed to host a party in the Hamptons for close friends and family. He was supposed to fly there via helicopter on Saturday, but he apparently didn’t answer his phone for 15 minutes and the chopper left without him. Page Six described Manziel as missing.
Though Manziel is not missing, it seems that he remains just as flaky as ever.

The former first-round draft pick was kicked out of a nightclub in Las Vegas a few weekends ago. He also has been involved in a dispute with the owner of a luxury rental car company over the destruction of a car driven by one of Manziel’s friends, with the owner confronting the quarterback.

The 23-year-old quarterback was released by the Cleveland Browns in March and has been dropped by numerous agents and sponsors in the past several months.

He's doing what he should be doing at 23. Partying and screwing models all the time.

People act like this is Andrew Luck. This dude wasn't a player regardless. For whatever reason, he has a ton of fame from his partying/on field antics and is capitalizing it.

His family is rich anyway, as long as he doesn't OD he has plenty of margin for error here.
