actually many people knowledgable people and analysts just assume "he knows what hes doing'.....he really burns out alot of arms, and mismanages bullpens......perhaps hes a better judge of lineup although i doubt it.......
hes a former catcher, and yet he cant handle a pitching staff
he was a career 297 hitter and once hit .363 and won the mvp with the cardinals yet he benches his teams 3 of his 4 best HR hitters in a game against divisional opponenet /leader
it is very possible he has no clue, was simply a guy who had talent to play
