I saw the 1st episode (don't get Spike in any hotels though).
The concept is funny, but the only real humor comes when he does unexpected things or the "cast" scews up. Plus he is such a complete boob that it is funny.
Week 1's bests:
*He recognizes the girl from the "Hands on the Hooker" contest as an X-rated movie star (but he never seems to connect this as being a problem that the show said she was a street hooker).
*They set it up that he has his hand on the hookers breast. BUt the 1st one out of the contest is forced to "move into the luandry room". This smo lets go of her breast becuase he wants his own bed (the show had him sharing a bed with 2 others). The looks on the casts faces was priceless, as they had no idea what to do.
*Old guy almost blows the show in the 1st day when he can' remember which underwear was supposed to have been his (smo again doesn't see anything amiss)
*Spoiled girl almost blows it when she tells him once she is an only child (character), then forgets later and says she has 2 brothers. Again, smo is clueless.
Curious what happened last night if anyione saw it.

Came across this on Spike late the other nite while surfing for Girls Gone Wild commercials...
Thought when it first came on..."Jeez, here we go again, another stupid reality show that has an awful premise." About an hour and a half later, I was still watching as they showed the first few shows in order (they probably will again, I would think). I could not stop watching it. These actors are so jazzed about having a job for a while and don't seem to care about the guy and playing him for the fool. He is so good natured and caring, that it works perfectly.
The scene with the gay guy after asking him if he was gay at the first group scene was priceless. If he had made one more "cool guy" reference like, "dude, I am down with that," or, "that is SOOO ok with me, man." I think I would have pissed myself.
I suggest it, which really surprises me. Not too late to get caught up, especially if they have another marathon.

Very true...they seem to show it 3-4 episodes back to back! And its funny as hell ...This guy is the PERFECT CHARACTER for this...

I watched parts of 2 episodes, and thought that the Schmo character is TOO much of a Schmo to be real.
I WON'T be surprised if we find out that he was in on the whole thing.
Really, he missed a couple of blantantly obvious mistakes, and his reactions a just TOO Schmo-like to be believable.
I think there are people out there like him, but I just don't get the feeling that he could actually be real.
