Is he still elite?
Never seen a player so full of himself suck so bad.
Its one thing to suck.
Its entirely another thing to suck and at the same time think your elite.
Losing to Charlie Batch at home.
Good job Mr Elite.
Funny you posted this about Flako. He is a flake and half. I think he sucks. Bmore can't win this guy.
I dont mind of someone sucks.
Thats the way the world works.
Everyone cant be great.
But you dont see Matt Cassel or Brady Quinn getting on national tv telling everyone they are elite or the best like Flacco did.
Thats the reason I started the thread.
He is very average.
I probably would not even put him in the top 16 QB's in the NFL.
What do you want him to say? Ah im about the 10th or 11th best. He didnt hold a press conference to announce he thinks he is the best. He was asked a question and answered it. If he would have said he is 10th or 11th, he would have been criticized for that. So its a lose/lose just for answering. Will be 5 straight playoff appearances to start his nfl career, and a lee evans drop away from a SB last year. By the way that awful QB is 9-3 with a lot of injuries on the defensive side. It isnt always pretty but he puts his team in position to win a lot more then he doesnt. Just saying.
Flacco became just the fourth quarterback to bring his team to the playoffs in his first four seasons, and is the first to win a game in each.
Trent Dilfer has a Super Bowl ring and so does Mark Rypien, does that make them better than Dan Marino. The objective is to win the game, right?
He has 2 HOFs on his defense, a top 5 running back, if not top 3 in the NFL. One of the 10 best tandems in Torrie Smith and AB. Don't confuse success with talent that Bmore has. Baltimore's Defense has 3 players that have won the NFL Defensive POY.
Dirty Sanchez has been to 2 AFC title games, would like him as your QB?
Baltimore has the same problem with Flacco as Dallas does with Romo and San Diego does with Rivers. Good Qbs, who aren't great, but who do you replace them with?
I agree with a lot of what you say, but the difference between Flacco and the rest of the guys mentioned is that he consistently wins. Smith and Boldin top 10? arguable. Reed and Lewis both well out of their prime. Suggs has been hurt 90 percent of the season. Best CB Webb also out for the year. The defense is mediocre at best this year, yet he has still lead them to a 9-3 record. I was more so commenting on the fact he was called "awful" and the OP called him out for saying he was elite... when really he was just put in a bad spot. Like I said it was a lose/lose for him just for answering the question.
