Looks like mabey this may be a war. So far my
focus is on Sanchez who hasn't seen action in two years. There were extenuating circumstances
to be sure. They are both talking up a storm.
The price on Guzman has climbed at Olympic from
-200 to -300. Once again, price hikes aren't
exactly money in the bank, but may be a window
on what the prevailing opinions are. Myself, I
bought some Guzman stock @-200. I know his trainer and will seek him out this week, if I can locate him. Naturally, he adores his charge
and who knows if he will divulge any USEFULL
info. Input from the gang would be welcome.

I dont even know who Guzman is and the only time I've seen Sanchez fight was against Manny when the dirt SOB tried to headbutt him to death. I got 7 dimes riding on Morales this weekend so I'll just wait for that.

They are really playing this fight up in the local paper as a "bad blood" fight. Guzman, who is Dominican is on record with some quotes about wanting to take out all of the Mexicans. Crowd in San Diego will probably be for Sanchez. All of the pictures and press supporting this fight show Guzman, as if Sanchez is an afterthought. Will definitely be interesting.

I thought that fight was called off. Lacierva pulled out of the fight. Ponce de leon (16 -0) offered to jump in but Honorio didnt want no part of de leon.
The new fight is Leon vs Figueroa.
Leon won all his fights by Ko/TKO was never past five and knocked out jesus Perez in the first round in his last fight.
Has anybody seen this de leon kid ?

I saw De Leon in his last bout on Telefutura. His opponent looked very old and didn't have a chance in the fight. I could not draw much from the bout on De Leon because he won by TKO in the 1st. But in that short period of time, he did not leave an impression with me of a lightning fast fighter with tremendous hooks. He just got the job done against a poor fighter.

Has anyone ever seen Figueroa in action? How does he look?

Whorman - Sanchez is black, not Mexican. This is the same guy that fought Manny right? Anyway, I'm living in San Diego now and am not even going to go watch this. I just have no interest in it.

Yes, he fought very well against Manny ( I believe a draw). I wasn't inferring that Sanchez is Mexican, but rather that Guzman had infuriated many Mexicans with his comments. Seeing as how Golden Boy promotions is associated with this event and many Mexican fans will be in attendance, the crowd will most certainly not be in Guzman's favor. That was my point. I still think Guzman wins, although I won't be going either. Wish it was on the weekend!

Even though I can't understand what they are saying, HBO Latino ain't to shabby. I like
Guzman down the road, but he does leave himself open whilst wading in looking for a KO. If he faces a bigger puncher, who isn't coming off
a 2 year layoff. well, we shall see.

looked big and strong for a jr feather.... .looks like larios is the logical top opponent.....and back in the day, sanchez had a stoppage win over larios...

will almost certainly be moving up to feather...and should be very competitive there....

he may have been hit a bit in this fight....maybe,because he looked to have total disdain for sanchez` punching power....

the featherweight division in becoming unreal...this guy will make it even stronger when he moves up for the big money fights.....
