CNN was showing footage of the older fellow holding onto the side of a building, water up over mid-chest. The debri was banging against him and it looked very painful. That debri was very dangerous in the water.

Not sure if this was the same footage General ... but I saw some other footage on CNN that showed a guy hanging onto a balcony railing which did not seem too stunning compared to the other videos they have shown until they said that it was a first story balcony he was reaching for!!!

Simply unbelievable!!

did you guys read the article about what the water did to that train? picked it up and tossed it around like a "toy" is what they said, the water also ripped the tracks out fo the ground.. 1000 people died on that train alone.

Velocity of water was killer, not depth of water

See the article on the Drudge Report where people are still headed to some of these islands on holiday?

People are nuts.

WARNING - graphic photo.....

JJ's right, velocity of the water was the killer. People surf in 30 foot waves but not going 600 MPH. Hard to even imagine a wall of water going that fast. This is what it looks like afterwards.......
