Jimmy Clausen

I am very impressed watching this kid play this season. He is an incredibly smart QB and has all the physical attributes you look for in a QB. I personally would rather a prototype QB running my offense over a running QB like Tebow.

From what I've seen of both, and the progression Clausen has made behind a terrible OL, I would say Claussen will have a much better pro career then the more hyped guys like Tebow and Daniels. This guy has the chance to be very, very good.

The NFL at the moment has very few great QB's. There are a ton of QB's in college right now that could turn into greats. Bradford, Stafford, Sanchez, and Claussen would all be very high on my list of potential great NFL QB's.

Michigan and Purdue are teams they would have lost big to last year. This year they beat them both by at least 2 scores. I'm not even talking about Notre Dame as a team. Claussen is just impressing me.

Notre Dame could not hang with USC, Oklahoma or Georgia with their team this year, but they are a team on the rise and will be back in the top ten within a few years. Weiss is an incredible recruiter and an underrated coach. People were way too quick to jump off the Weiss bandwagon.

I think Clausen is a decent QB..But I wouldn't go too much by what he does today against Stanford..ASU's Carpenter threw for 345 yards on this Stanford defense..And it could have been much worse if they hadn't had so many plays called back..I'll take Carpenter over Clausen every day.

Absolutely agree. I am a big ND fan. I see alot of improvement and confidence all around. Especially, in Clausen. A "weaker" schedule is something this team needed. Now if we could only find a kicker.

I think they have 3 losses by then. They'll still be ranked, but I doubt it'll be in the top 10. Games @ UNC, @ BC, and vs Pittsburgh will all be tough. Notre Dame can win each game, but they could also lose all. Syracuse, Washington and Navy should all be easy wins, but even Navy you can't really count out.

Haydom--You're right. I thought they said Chestnut Hill, but they said Chapel Hill. My bad. Should be somewhat easier than BC (IMO).
