Just when it looked like they were going to pull off the biggest “choke job” in the history of the NFL, my Detroit Lions finished the dream. My dream! They “manned down”, “fell apart late” and “lost to complete the perfect 0-16 season”! And I can’t tell you how proud I am of each and every one of these guys. “Man’s game”, fellas’. “Man’s game”.

But you knew they’d make me work for it. 0-15, and headed into the fourth quarter tied with Green Bay and I had a horrible feeling about it. You just knew someone was going to do something really stupid to ruin my dream. Someone was going to go completely “brain-dead”, at the worst possible time…and “make a play”. And that sort of garbage is contagious! Next thing you know, other gutless slackers start hustling, showing heart and caring. And then Rod Marinelli is standing over me, and using his “sharp shovel” to “carve my heart right out of my chest”! But luckily, these Lions “are who we thought they were”! And when they absolutely had to have it! In the fourth quarter, they “laid down” to preserve the perfect season.

And I would personally like to thank each and every one of you had who had a hand in this “horrific season”. For without your below average, to horrible efforts…my dream wouldn’t be possible!

Honestly, it’s only now sinking in. I’ve been so busy the last couple of weeks taking congratulatory calls from all over the country and taking a victory lap…that I haven’t had time to step back and really contemplate what we…the Lions and I…have accomplished. And now that I have, I have to say…it feels good. Really good! Much better than I thought…good!

Again, I just feel so blessed to be able to experience such a life changing event. You did it fellas’! None of you will ever have to a buy beer in my town ever again. God bless the ‘08 Lions. The biggest losers ever!

I like rome, but sometimes he just repeats himself over and over in different ways that HE thinks is funny.

That is exactly what he does. He is good for the one main one, and at least two corollaries.

And that's why he got popped when he messed with Everett, calling him "Chris Evert" Lloyd over and over.

Rome is an idiot, I don't know how anybody likes him or takes him serious. He doesn't bring anything to the table except for the fact that he's willing to stir the pot a little. His knowledge sucks, he's usually way off base, and all he does is repeat the same thing over and over for 3 hours.

I feel as though Colin Cowherd is the same way. He says the same things 9 or 10 times in the same show.

Colin Cowherd repeats himself because , his knowledge outside of the main topics is very limited. He has to repeat himself. You only need to listen to his show for a hr and you get the whole thing. Rome is much more knowledgable IMO and enjoy his show. I do think this Lions thing has kinda got the best of him though.

Does anyone ever listen to Max Kellerman? That guys is the worst...All he does is suck off the Giants and Yankees. Its so annoying. The Eagles beat the Giants a few weeks ago and as I drive to work I hear Kellerman saying how the Giants are the greatest team and blah blah blah. This morning it was Eli is better then Brady. He was comparing Brady's stats as a 27 yr old to Eli's. Cant stand him or the Giants

Yeah....Cowherd talks more bullshit than anyone i've heard on radio. Today he was all over Donovan McNabb's nuts, but 6 weeks ago he was running him out of town. It's a tough listen, which is why I rarely listen to his show.

That's because you're listening to local guys who are doing local new york radio, duh.

As far as Cowherd, I like Colin and listen to him regularly, he's great. I also love Dan Patrick and his guests.

I pretty much agree with you on all counts, except I enjoy the fact that he stirs up the pot. Quite entertaining at times.

Its Espn Radio, I get Dan Patrick and Mike Tirico, and Scott VanPelt too... they arent big fvckin homers like Kellerman.

agree 100%, cant stand that weasel faced bastard. hes that guy in the bar you see and you just know before the night is over your gonna beat his ass just because the way he looks.

There are guys on ESPN 850 here near cleveland in ohio, and they're local guys from cleveland who are cavs-browns-indians homers. Just because it's ESPN radio that doesn't mean that they're hired from ESPN and a national show.

Kellerman is from NEW YORK and that's where he broadcast his show from. I hate New York teams, but I like to listen to Kellerman and the ocassional Brian Kenny because I think they're humerous at times.

Dan Patrick is his own show with no local ties, just a national show. Same with Tirico/Van Pelt.
