Jim Rome likes to double talk ?

For years Jim Rome has been spewing the evils of gambling ... Blah, blah , blah ! Now all of a sudden He has bought several race horses and all We hear about on the day or weekend after his horse runs is about his stupid horse and how it did. We get an interview from the trainer, announcer, and Jockey as though We really give a _uck ! Is He somehow so naive that He has no clue as to why horse racing is a sport ? People are gambling on the races and all of a sudden He loves horse racing ! If one of his horses was in the Kentucky Derby, perhaps I would be interested.... However I really don't care about how his stupid mediocre horses do every time they run ! He must have spent 1/3 of his show or more on it this week. Either admit you were wrong or shut the _uck up about your horses !

Agreed. I like listening to Rome - I think he does a good job with interviews, but I too am getting sick of his horses. Seems to be somewhat of a hypocrite on some things. He was taking Buck's side with the whole Lange thing on yesterday's show, and brought up that he wished his interview with Jim Everett didn't get as much press as it did. Yeah, right.

How come he didnt say much about Travis Rodgers leaving? He was with him for 14 years and got a 2 second thank you and good bye? He did a whole 3 hr show for his 10 year anniversary....did they have a falling out? Just seemed weird to me...anyone know what REALLY went down? Nobody is saying anything....

I agree with everything you said. He does a great job with interviews. Also He is sometimes quite funny but a hypocrite He is ! I wonder if when He goes to the horse track and sees all those betting windows if He actually blocks it out of his mind that these people are gambling !

I agree also. I think he has a really good radio show, especially considering the crap that is out there, but when he talks about his horses, I immediately turn it off and think what you guys are saying, 'who gives a f---?' I can't think of any other show host that does this.

Jim Rome is a total egomaniac. I'd have no problem with him talking about his stupid horses, but then he bashes sports gambling any chance he can. Not to mention the tool got beat up on his television show, what a fucking pussy.
