Among the early front-runners — besides, perhaps, Levy — are Bills defensive coordinator Jerry Gray, who completed his fifth season with Buffalo; recently fired New Orleans coach Jim Haslett; Dick Jauron, Detroit's interim coach; and Chicago defensive coordinator Ron Rivera.
Haslett has ties to the Bills, a former linebacker who played for the team from 1979-85.
Reached by telephone Friday, Haslett said he's interested but has not yet been contacted.
"Obviously, I have great interest in the job, there's a lot of good things about it," Haslett said. "I know the organization, I know Mr. Wilson. And it's a great place to live."
All local reports here have Haslett at the top of the list but not contacted yet.
Would be a TERRIBLE move. Bills NEED to get Talkin' Proud going again-but Jim is not the answer. I can see Jim Kelly and a few others of that era coming back as some kind of coaches/consultants as they try and win back the fans.
Coaches I don't want: Haslett, Cottrell, Martz, Gray
Coaches I would like: Fassell, Marty Schott

HOPEFULLY IT STAYS THAT WAY....
J-Man, Marv did not rule himself out.... Although I don't think he's the answer either... Marv was a "good" coach, but he had the talent back then and still couldn't bring us a SB victory...

The new coach should come in and say, "Listen, you phucked up big time with Losman and he isn't going to play here."
This guy just started Foster "who needs to look at game film" Brooks every game but the last 2 for 5 straight years....if Losman will share his g/f he'll get a new multi year deal
ill be happy as long as the new coach keeps JP on the bench where he belongs. 1-7 as a starter last year...need i say more. He sucks.he can make about 2 or 3 good throws a game and after that the rest of them are to the ground.
