Going to add a half unit to the Milwaukee play at -109, as I like it more and more every time I look at it. So here is my total card for the day, as of now. Doesn't look like I'll be adding anymore, but will continue to dig for value.

LA Dodgers: 1.73 units to win 1.5.
Houston: 2.10 units to win 1.5.
Milwaukee: 1.62 units to win 1.5.
San Diego: 1.5 units to win 1.8.
San Francisco: 1.06 units to win 1.
St. Louis: 1.20 units to win 1.

Hope we do well tonight. Definitely a nice win on the Tribe. When I left the computer to go do some work it was 1-1. Definitely nice to come back to a 10-1 ballgame.

Do you know why there's so much steam on Cincy? You can get Houston for -123 now...

I really wish I knew. I posted the -140 line last night because it was the first one I could find and thought it would go in the other direction. I had forgotten to hit the submit button, and when I realized it I was able to get it at -132 (although for record purposes I'm obviously sticking with -140). Since then I've seen it as low as -121. Currently -124 on Matchbook. I've looked around and just can't find anything. Best I could find was a response from Buffetgambler in his thread:

Jibba,
Glad to see we are on the same side as well. It seems like the public is starting to back the Reds due to the offensive production they put forth this weekend. There might be a fair amount of shapr distribution on them as well, as they will back a home dog that they feel has the better lineup.

Would have sworn the public would nail Oswalt hard, but I still don't have a knack for predicting line movement, which has on occasion caused me to take a bad line.

Hey jibba...thanks for both dodgers and cleveland picks... how much do you like Giants?? I also do think it's Gaints or no play...but only thing that I'm worried about this play is mets is more than capable of lit up their bets and hit Zito's balls even though they never met Zito... what do you think?

Glad we pulled out the wins. Pretty good night so far, going 2-0 in finished games, including 1 for 1.5 units. Looking good in the others at the moment, but still plenty of ball to be played.

The Giants definitely are facing better competition than the Indians or Dodgers were, but they are at home. Like you said, a lot depends on Zito. I think he's pitching well lately and has a good chance at shutting down the Mets' offense, but that's admittedly a tall task. I think my biggest worry for this game is whether I'm undervaluing Ollie Perez. I'm not convinced he can keep up the way he's been pitching this year. Tonight will be a pretty good test. Basically though, it's a regular 1 unit play for me, where LAD was a 1.5 unit play and Cleveland was a 1 unit play.

okay...thanks for info Jibba

Also, take it for what it's worth, but the last time I looked this afternoon the Giants were at +103. A few minutes before gametime now they're at -110. Not sure if this is big late money, or if it's been moving for awhile.

Only places I play are Matchbook and VIP. VIP isn't that great, but it's easy to get money into. I want to get money back into 5Dimes, because they're virtually as good at Matchbook but you never have to wait until money starts rolling in to place a bet. Just very difficult to get money on.

I actually live a little south of Boston now. Moved down to Canton last year, but I just put Boston by instinct when I signed up because I was born and raised there and lived about 24-25 of my 29 years there. You in the city?
