Raiders and Seahawks agree to deal for Rice
Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - The Oakland Raiders have reportedly agreed to a trade with Seattle that would send Jerry Rice to the Seahawks in exchange for a conditional seventh-round draft pick.
ESPN.com is reporting that the deal is done and will be announced before the 4:00 p.m. (et) trading deadline on Tuesday.
Rice, a two-time NFL Player of the Year, holds just about every league record for wide receivers, including receptions (1,524), receiving yards (22,533) and touchdowns (194). He also holds the record for total touchdowns with 205.
Now in his 20th season, Rice has just five receptions for 67 yards and did not register a catch in three of the last five games. He has been invited to 13 Pro Bowls.
Rice spent the first 16 seasons of his career with San Francisco before joining the Raiders as a free agent in 2001.
