Just called up from Triple A - J.P. Arencibia, the Jays' first round pick in 2007. He had 31 HRs and .303 avg in 95 games in Triple A.

In his first game today against Tampa Bay, he is 3 for 3 and needs a triple for the cycle in his first game. He hit a HR on his first pitch.

Career average: 1.000.

Bautista also hit his league leading 34th, and the Jays have 5 homers right now. Their new SS Yunel Escobar looks great, on the bat and with the glove. Lind and Hill are now hitting, and Vernon Wells is having a very good year.

Just wait til next year.

He still needs a triple. :howdy:

He's a catcher, won't happen. Over the past 2 years in AAA Vegas, he's hit 52 homers and just two triples.

The game line (and MLB career line) on Arencibia:

4 for 4, 1.000 avg, 3 runs, 3 RBI, 2 HR, 1 2B, 2.750 slugging.

Retire, dude. Be a legend.

Arencibia just popped out. Great catch by the fielder. 4 for 5.

17-7 Jays in the 8th. Overbay hit the Jays' 8th homer in the 7th.
