Price was dominate again today now only 2.5 back of the Yankees.

Best starting pitching era since the all star break in AL

still putting up runs with long ball.

are they the real deal?

The real deal, no, but they did have some nice additions and it apparently is working out for their run against the yanks.

ive been saying the jays have been dangerous for awhile. nobody in the al is really designed to beat them. dodgers or mets would match up best due to rotations

Not the real deal?

What`s the real deal to you Murph?

This team is 2.5 games back of the division....Who in baseball has a better 1st 4 guys in the lineup?

1-Troy Tulowitzki
2-Josh Donaldson
3-Jose Bautista
4-Edwin Encarnación

That 4 is the best in baseball....I wouldn`t want to pitch to them.

Top of the lineup is awesome. Bottom is average as Goins/Pillar and Revere doesnt light up the scoreboard but can run. Any downfall might be there staff. Pickup of a stud like Price is HUGE. Estrada is ok. RA has been great his last 6-7 but he is 40 and can throw a stinker anytime. Hutch is only 25 and can get lit up. Buerhle is good at the bottom of the rotation. If Osuna can be the stopper they can beat anyone

Mark Buerhle keeps chugging along...12 wins.....Team ERA is 3.76 not bad for the A.L.

Yup. Yanks haven't won a series Vs the Jays , and ytd 2-6. Ouch. They need Tanaka to stop the bleeding and get that geriatric lineup to wake up or else .....brooms come out :)

Both games went under thus far......Might see a over in this game.....Tanaka can be good for a few.

In two starts since being dealt to Toronto, Price (2-0, 0.60 ERA as a Blue Jay) has posted 18 strikeouts and surrendered just one run in 15 innings.

The Jays (60-52) have won 7 straight games and are 10-1 since trade-deadline acquisition Troy Tulowitzki made his Toronto debut.

That one loss was the only game Tulo didn't start.

I don't doubt they have the power to be great, it is evident in your example. But you asked if they were the real deal, and that is yet to be proven is all I was commenting on. I also think they will make a run against the yankees, but yanks will prevail and Toronto will be left on the outside looking in so your "real deal" question won't be answered. If they make the playoffs and win the AL to represent, then regardless of World Series I will bow to "real deal" question. puff_>>

Donaldson goes yard

yes they have the power to drive home runs but that typically dries up in October.

what surprises me is their defence and pitching in the last 4 weeks.
