Actually they were ATS bets but i was in a rush and posted the tease to save time but forgot to replace the lines...

I usually at least write some reasoning but I had to go buy a house so I was in a hurry to get them posted.

Was 16-21-3

Since I didnt explain I'm gonna take the honorable way out and take this as a loss...

But in reality I did play these [AHH] (also posted them in the Bluegrass thread as you might note)

Buffalo Bills up by 3
Dallas Cowboys W
Baltimore Ravens L
Minnesota Vikings W
Carolina Panthers L
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Losing
Kansas City Chiefs Monday

Not that it matters (this is getting absurd)

but for the record I am going with KC tonight BUT only the ML...

They gotta lose sometime but from what I've seen of Oakland thus far - KC should clean house, well - at least not lose

Oakland didn't of course and KC won getting me to 17-22-3 (first ML bet of the year)

Today will be a fun one win or lose:

Carolina +2
No put up a stink last time but I think they had 2 cushy weeks and now are gonna have a wakeup call...

Minny -5.5
The Giants O line had yet another problem with Rich Seubert going down and as if they weren't having trouble scoring before - this should be a mauling.

Seattle -2.5
I see people talking about Cinncy here but I can't imagine they are serious. I know seattle isnt a superbowl team this year but they have a decent D and with Dillon's head elsewhere I would recommend betting against Cinncy for the rest of the year.

SF -6.5
Big number for a team that has had trouble but I think they should be able to continue to run better and it 'seems' like their focus is back in the passing game. I dont see arizona Keeping up - then again I'm no psychic. Just a hunch.

KC -6
Buffalo seems to have been able to stop the run somewhat though they havent been tested with a good running game since Ricky in Miami (where they lost 7-17). Travis Henry got it going last week and will have to get it going to keep the bills in this one. I dont think he can do it two weeks in a row though.

Ooops forgot to add the fins -3

You gotta be kidding me with this line - is someone hurt on the fins?

Miami-3
Cancelled

Not sure about going with the new line on Miami so I decided to cop out and take the ML.

I suppose its a bad bet because its over -200 (-240) but I am hooked on seeing this team win here.

God help me... All I gotta do is lose a couple of these -240 bets and I'm done with.

I hate to tally it but

2-3 with one pending = 19-25-3

Gambling does this to all of us at some stage. You need to step back and clear your head of any pre-conceived thoughts, such as:

I see people talking about Cinncy here but I can't imagine they are serious. I know seattle isnt a superbowl team this year but they have a decent D and with Dillon's head elsewhere I would recommend betting against Cinncy for the rest of the year.

Re-assess the season and get rid of that negative mindset, ie: Jaypaws NFL slide.
Tell yourself you are having a shower tonight to wash off all the bad luck and when you go to bed, turn the pillow over and say, all that bad luck is behind me.

Come out this Week revitalised, brimming of confidence, make some solid well informed picks and wallow in the satisfaction that you have turned the corner

Thanks for the support man - you make some good points. I'll ditch this thread and move on.

I actually just had a baby and am buying a house so I haven't had the chance to spend as much time as I'd like to... thus I've probably been picking too many games most of the time rather than spending that extra time to weed out the traps.

Normally I wouldnt like being called a bumbling idiot but I'm too tired to deny it...
