Reggie Williams was a second rounder...what a reach! Pac10 has a long history of overrated WR busts...ala Keshawn Johnson

I didn't understand that pick either.

I assumed they were either going to draft one of the DE's Kendichi or Smith

or

trade to Buffalo so the Bills could fuk up their draft by getting Big Ben

Ooops, Houston reaches even further with Dunta Robinson, another second rounder at best

I like Jags pick. They look set at QB, and wideouts are getting a bit old. This kid is special, 6-3 225, 4.62 40, 345 bench and 37 1/2 vert jump. Just lit up the combines. Was always number one or two in nation as a prep. Coming out a year eary no biggie. Sharp kid also, psych major. Jags drafted for need. I like the direction they are going. Seen much worse today. Best wishes...OF

Frog, 4.6 for the 40 is not NFL speed at the WR position. I also watched a lot of UW games and this guy drops a lot of easy passes. Granted, Jerry Rice and Tim Brown never had much speed, but I think they were exceptions rather than the rule.

I would have traded down for exta picks and selected LSU WR Clayton. He has mucho speed, and you can't teach that.

I agree with OF, if he waits another year he may be in the top 5 of the draft. Jacksonville had to get Leftwich some weapons because their WR corp is one of the worst in the league. RW has pro bowl potential for sure.

Wow, Buffy takes Lee Evans at #13.

This is a weird draft, there is an early run on WR's and all the elite DL's are getting passed up. Maybe Jax knew the WR's were all going early?

ppeter, watched him a lot. He will not drop easy passes forever. And that NFL size is something you can't teach, forget the speed. He is both big and strong, and atheletic. TO type except not a moron. Highly intelligent from Army brat unbringing. Guess dad ended up at fort Lewis. He will outjump, or shove his defenders off the line. Leftwich looked really sharp with average, no below average wides and old Jimmy Smith. This kid has tremendous potential. Again, I really like the Jacksonville direction, they will be very good, very soon. Best Wishes...OF

Pac 10 had a lot of top notch secondary talent this year and Reggie's production dropped off somewhat. His size and big-play ability are definitely first round material. Might have been a few pick reach, but he figured to be gone by 15 or 16 so Jags went for a need without reaching that much.

Exactly, they were after my #1 DL, Udeze, who slipped all the way to 20. They would have preferred other Williams, Roy, but were not willing to trade up to get him. Del Rio said they were looking for a playmaker at wideout, a big, physical fast wide receiver. That is how he described him. Bottom line, getting Leftwich a stud young wideout. He would have been gone with run on wr's, 2 more taken 13 and 15, not nearly as good as him. IMO, good pick, B+ and good fit for team. Best Wishes...OF

NJ Sports, beg to differ. Keyshawn was the first player taken in his years draft. How many Pro Bowls has he been to? One or two? Is he even remotely close to Hall material?
