2 interceptions
7 Sacks
No 3rd down conversions until halfway through the 3rd quarter...

He did have 200 yards, but most of them were garbage yards and check downs.....

The stadium ended up halfway empty, full of Pittsburgh Steelers fans. This team is a fade against strong aggressive defenses, NY Giants, Pittsburgh, Philly. Campbell folds like a lawn chair under pressure.

Because his offensive line played well, he never had time-same reason big bens stats sucked-his only drive for a td was off blocked punt-you cant blame campbell for the way the o-line allowed them to get in the backfield everyplay

I go back to that Lions game from last week. You saw how tentative Campbell was even when the announcers were blowing him and saying how great he was playing. Credit you for spotting that, C-Gold.

Now when he had to make some plays against a defense that attacked him, it didn't work.

I love how whenever there is a crappy QB, you will always find defenders claiming he has " no line" or "no receivers". Same thing with David Carr, Mike Vick, Tavaras Jackson or any other crappy quarterback who fails.

Jason Campbell doesn't hold onto the ball too long, and rely too much on check downs.... his line stinks???? Samuels, Thomas, Jansen, Kendall, Rabach?

I am a quarterback junkie and most of them are overrated and sucked off by the announcers. JC Pearmon and Soloman Wilcotts are usually the ones calling crappy lions games, and they go goo goo ga ga over quarterback mobility. They could do a Colts/Vikings game and not talk about how great Manning is, but how Tavras Jackson adds another dimension to that offense with those 20 rushing yards per game he picks up.

Gimme a break. ONE FREAKING GAME! The o-line play was bad as was the play calling and the offense as a whole. Yes Campbell held onto the ball too long a couple times but guys just were not getting open. What's the guy supposed to do besides check down? Glad you make tremendous generalizations from one damn game. He played very well against the Eagles pressure earlier this season.

I bash Campbell all the time, not just one game. I am sick of the unneccesary hype, and all of the damn excuses this guy gets when he fails. All the guy knows how to do is throw screens and check downs.

Look at the talent around him...

- Pro Bowl Tail back, #1 Leading Rusher in the NFL
- Mike Sellers, a bruising FB
- Pro bowl caliber TE in Cooley
- Pro Bowl WR in Santana Moss and playmaker
- Slot machine A. Randel El
- Top Draft WR draft pick in Devin Thomas

LT- Chris Samuels is pro bowl caliber
LG - Kendall used to be pro bowl caliber, is above average
C - Rabach is above average
RG - Thomas won't make the pro bowl, but is one of the better G's
RT - Janson/Heyer, Janson isn't what he used to be

So I look at the talent around Campbell and can't complan at all. The Redskins have one of the best Lines in the NFL, they have the top RB, a nice pass catching TE to rely on, a stud WR, and young talent behind him.

Zorn is a QB coach too. All I see from Campbell is basic, boring check downs, screens, WR, RB, and TE drags. He is the only thing holding that team back.

2007
Redskins were 5-7 under Jason Campbell, below 50%
Redskins were 4-0 under Todd Collins and average more pts, and against better competition.

Jason Campbell is WAY over hyped. He has been sheltered his entire QB life, not been able to call audibles etc. and at some point they have to take the training wheels off, and he has been exposed. Throwing RB screens against the Saints is one thing, but playing QB is another. Campbell sucks.

They did play one of the top 3 Defenses in the League.

Did you watch the Lions game?

They tried to throw and it didn't work. Teams review tape so much, instead of following the same boring game plan, washington started the game out with play action and throws. This was against a very weak Lions run D. They tried to show their future opponents on tape that " hey we can throw too".

The first drive it was working, but Portis had 30 yards on his first 2 carries. I bet Washington and was sure they would win/cover over detroit. Then they take it all the way down to the 1 yardline, and Campbell fucks up the handoff to Portis and losses 1-2 yards. The next play is a toss left to Portis, and he losses a few yards. 3rd down they fold and settle for a 3 pt FG.

The very next drive they decide to throw again. They get to the 50 yard line and Campbell holds onto the ball too long and is stripped/fumbles. Instead of marching down and being up with 2TDs 14-0, Campbell botched the first TD, and gave Detroit great field position which led to a score.

Washington was LOSING 7-3, and had no urgency. They tried to swtich the game plan, but kept Detroit in the game the whole time and didn't even really care. They could have lost that damn game the same way they didn't give a shit with the Rams and let them hang around. The Redskins had this attitude like, " Ok, the score is close but we know we will turn it on at the end and win".

The Redskins were up by less than a TD at the end of the Lions game, and Campbell fumbled. Janson recovered and they kicked the FG for the win/cover, but what if Detroit picked that ball up and scored?

Good teams don't let that crap happent to them. No touchdowns at home? Letting the Lions hang around? Washington might make the playoffs, but they are no dominant team. They do have talent too WITH THE HIGHEST PAYROLL IN THE NFL!

Campbell might not be old, but this team already has a lot of players either in their prime, or past their prime. That means they either need to draft very well, or that they need to bring in even more free agents in the future.

as a skins fan, last night freaked me out.

but i still say let him finish the season and see what he's made of (not that we have much of a choice?? collins wont repeat last year, he isnt in al saunders offense anymore, and Colt won't be spectacular either).

Around this time last year, people were trashing Eli. He may still get trashed every now and then, but he has a ring on his finger never the less.

Coming up we have 3 division rivals at home, who Campbell went 2-1 against on the road, and we have some "easy" road trips (the toughest team we have left to play on the road is the long trip up 95 to Baltimore). There is a red carpet rolled out for us to the playoffs right now, and Jason Campbell is looking like he's the only one who can fuck it up.

Fickle redskin fans amuse me. Under a first year system he has progressed effectivly. Is he a stud at QB.....far from it at this point.
Has he shown progression during the season.......look at the tape and you will be surprised. Did he slum it up during the MNF game,,,,,I was 15 rows up and yes Pitt dominated all areas of the game 2nd half. The first half was a well balanced game. One thing I noticed is that the center did not do a good job of direction. They were flustered by the outside pressure of Pittsburg at times.

All in all, performance was dismal at best on the offensive side. The defensive front 7 were phenomenal. 27 was average, and 22 looks like he can't plant and go as quick as he used to. I firmly belive with a healthy 24 pitt would of scored 1td less.

Regardless, it's bye week, and plenty of time to regroup. The true colors of the NFC East will be exposed this month. Wait until December to bash or rave.

Dude, you just hate the Redskins, especially Campbell. Fact is I told you they'd be a good team this year and they are proving to be one. They will finish second in the division whether you like it or not. Campbell is not Peyton Manning, but he is definitely someone I'd take to start my team any day.

Collins outperformed Campbell by such a vast margin last year it wasn't even funny. He was undefeated and was better in every statistical category. He threw with timing and had a quicker release, it doesn't matter who was calling the plays. Jason Campbell gets the same sorry ass excuses. We are supposed to forgive him for his mistakes because Auburn changed offensive coordinators his Junior and Senior season of college? Really?

There were plenty of people bashing Eli Manning, but I was never one of them. The offense he runs is totally opposite of the No audible offense Campbell runs. Learning how to play QB takes time ( see Drew Brees), where as the game managers might do OK earlier on, but never really get better... see the Leftwhich's, Vicks, Garrards, Dilfers etc of the world.

Campbell is what, a 5 year NFL vet and he has one or two 300 yard passing games? He has the Leading NFL rusher, a very good O-line, Stud TE, Stud WR, 3 high draft picks and a pass happy coach but he can't work with that?????

You'd start your team with Jason Campbell?

That's funny, I'd take a whole list of guys ahead of him...

Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Drew Brees
Carson Palmer
Donovan Mcnabb
Tony Romo
Eli Manning
Jay Cutler
Ben Rothlisburger
Phillip Rivers
Aaron Rodgers
Jake Delhomme
Brady Quinn
Matt Ryan
Matt Leinart
Marc Bulger
Trent Edwards
Chat Pennington
Matt Cassell
Vince Young
Joe Flacco

That doesn't even count old timers like Favre, Warner, Jeff Garcia etc.

Are you serious dude? Zorn is not pass happy and Gibbs certainly was run run run. When you have a guy like Clinton Portis, you are going to pound the rock. This game plan does not call for a 300 yard passer. This is his second full year starting and he has 2 300 yard passing games this year anyway. I don't know what your beef is with Campbell but it's overblown and hopefully he'll continue to prove it over the last 7 games and playoffs.

Zorn is a quarterback coach running a West coast offense... Are you saying that he wants to run some ball control offense????

Jason "Leftwhich" is in his 4TH SEASON

PROVE it? Prove what over the last 7 games? Just like the Jaguars with Leftwhich/Garrard... the media hype them up during the regular season and how little turnovers they had, then they get into the playoffs and get run over by the Patriots.

All of these over hyped quarterbacks meet their fate.

You Giants fans are such fucking pussies. All you do is talk, talk, talk. Wait till we see you November 30th pussy. We'll see how you feel about Eli after the Redskins defense rips him a new asshole.
