Penn State definitely exposed as frauds today. Game was never as close as the 20-6 score. Total domination by Buckeyes. @Loves2kickass your Buckeyes futures looking good man. They are rolling now.

James Franklin is a jinx as well.

So a good RB recruit that plays for Malverne High School on Long Island committed to Penn State in June (Kirby Smart came to recruit last January).
Last Friday, the day before Penn State is to play UMass, Franklin plans a surprise visit to watch him play. He comes in on a helicopter and lands on the field across from the field the game is being played on. He walks to the sideline & the next play the kid takes a handoff & tears his ACL.

If PSU is happy with 9-3 and maybe 10-2 every season then they have their guy. Franklin will never put together a national championship team

I disagree, although the landscape has shifted a bit he still is very close to one of the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country with not a lot of top-notch national recruiting competition (unlike Florida & Texas). I do agree that he's been a bit vanilla in his offensive game plans but he has a formula that has worked for him from smaller schools on up. Breaking through to beat OSU and Michigan was always going to be very tough. I don't know if he will ever win a Natty at PSU but to say he will never put together a championship level squad is stretching it. Realignment won't help him but PSU has lots of money, good facilities, and a great tradition. They need to get a bit more modern in some of their approaches but the product is a good product. For the most part too he has a reputation as being straight forward and he's kept his nose clean, something that was vitally important to PSU and still is. Could bring in someone else but as soon as they make a mistake ANY MISTAKE the past will be highlighted and PSU might never recover.

They will never put together a National Championship level roster at Penn State. That region is overrated talent wise imo.

Hard to say never - he has had some major studs there and this team isn't far away. But, to be in the National Championship discussion, you have to beat teams that are also in that discussion - Ohio State and Michigan in his own conference.

Aller is young and I think if he were more seasoned, they would have had a better shot. Their playcalling is vanilla, and I think part of it is because of QB play. Sean Clifford was there forever, and we know what he was.

Also, if that fumble return stood, might have been a much different game.

Not a PSU defender, but I don't think the talent gap is that significant. I wouldn't write them off.

Until Franklin shows me that he is committed to putting a modern offense on the filed, I am going to laugh off Penn State as EVER having any measurable success. That shit he rolled out there in Columbus was .....offensive.

James Franklin is the biggest fraud 3-16 against top teams but has no problem beating up on little sisters of the poor. This week he will pour it on against Indiana the man cannot coach on the fly he looks confused.
