U of I basketball player Jamar Smith is out on bond tonight. According to the Champaign County States Attorney, Jamar Smith allegedly broke his probation by drinking alcohol over the weekend. In February of 2007, Smith pleaded guilty to drunk driving after a car crash. Police say Smith had a blood alcohol level of point-one-seven, more than twice the legal limit at the accident charges of fleeing the scene were dropped as part of a plea agreement. He was sentenced to two years probation. Smith is not in custody and could face 1 to 14 years in jail for violating probation. <o></o>
