My college thread goes into a million times more depth but I'm confident I'll win at the NFL as well despite the lack of top-end information. The writeups will be smaller here because, well, I spend like 12-15 hours a week on my college stuff and simply don't have time to handicap NFL in the same manner.

Good luck to everyone this season. Picks coming soon.

Atlanta Falcons -4 -110

Miami is overrated from their success surprising people with their wildcat gimmick stuff last year. I also think Atlanta is a bit overrated as well but they are a more complete team with better player all over the field and the home field should lead to a 7-10 point victory.

Chiefs/Ravens Under 37 -110

The Chiefs are dealing with an injury to Cassel and are learning a new offense. They stunk last year and haven't done a ton to improve. Baltimore has a great D and should shut them down and the Ravens aren't anything special on offense. Flacco is a below average NFL quarterback and Baltimore will just run a ton.

New York Jets +4 -110

The Jets have a rookie quarterback and don't have the big names in the skill players department but what they do have is a better offensive and defensive line and it should make this game a tossup.

Colts/Jaguars Over 44.5 -110

Even last season when the Colts had almost their entire offensive line out they still averaged 26 a game against the Jaguars. This year everyone is healthy and Jacksonville still has a crap D line. Indy should put up 30+. I'd play the Colts as well if I had any faith in the Colts' run D doing much but I can't say they don't allow 24+ themselves.

Dallas Cowboys -4.5 -110

This one seems like a trap but I'll bite. Dallas should be able to run and pass on Tampa and the Bucs are learning a new defense with inexperienced players. Tampa has nothing left on offense either and the Cowboys should force some turnovers.

New York Giants -6.5 -110

Washington improved in the offseason but they are still a one-dimensional offense going on the road against one of the NFL's best defenses. The Giants won't have to score many points to cover here.

St Louis/Seattle Under 42.5 -110

The Rams have nothing on offense and Seattle is still strong on that side of the ball when they are healthy. The line and linebackers are strong and it's not like the Rams can do much about any weaknesses in the secondary since they can't pass. Seattle has some issues on offense as well and both teams will look to run and play field position games.

New England Patriots -10.5 -110

The Bills got worse last year even though they look better to some because of the T.O. signing. They lost their two best offensive lineman and are simply not going to have much time on offense. After the Patriots get up and the Bills have to become a one-dimensional passing team, the wheels will fall further apart. 34-17 Pats or so.

Oakland Raiders +8.5 -110

These guys are a lot better then they showed last year and do have some things going for them. First off, they know how to run well. Second, JaMarcus Russell has experience. Third, the Raiders are big underdogs at home. I like them in this spot despite the Chargers being better.

Miami will win in Atlanta. The Fins only ran the wildcat 9% all last season. They pound the ball and play a bend-dont-break defense. Atlanta has a superior offense but their defense is terrible, possibly the worst in the NFL this year. The only thing that keeps the Falcons in the game is the home crowd.

Disagree completely here. But I guess we'll see this season.

You will see over 20 TD passes from Flacco this year.

I think the jets will have a tough time in houston. A rookie Qb and new system "generally" take some time to work out. I see them being better towards the end of the season, plus, houston covered their last 4 games ATS last season. Look for them to be hot and ready to contend for the AFC South. As long as Schaub stays healthy I think the Texans should cover 4.5 at home.

Plus, I love the optimism from the Baltimore Ravens Fan! Flacco does look good this preseason and with another core of wide receivers, or a different offensive coordinator he could throw 20 TDs. Baltimore ran the ball more then any other team last year and they are not going to stop now (seeing as how they made the AFC Championship playing this way). I say 14-15 TD passes and a solid year from your boy.
