Lines just came up at Bookmaker. Using their lines since 5Dimes is a few minutes behind today.
Detroit/Toronto Under 9.5 -110
Pitchers: Jackson/Purcey
Jackson is a stud who I'm high on. He dominated the Jays last year. Jays like Purcey a lot and the Tigers offense is down quite a bit. Detroit had trouble hitting Purcey last year. Tigers bullpen always screws me but I still like this one.
Houston Astros +110
Pitchers: Rodriguez/Dempster
Astros offense is healthy and Dempster has some holes in his game. Cubs hit lefties really well but for some reason Wandy does well against them anyway.
Pittsburgh Pirates +145
Pitchers: Snell/Lohse
Snell has a ton of potential and the Cards' offense doesn't impress me much. Lohse is a marginal pitcher. I'll take the better starter at +145.
Colorado Rockies +145
Rockies/DBacks Under 8 -105
Pitchers: Jiminez/Haren
Haren is a great pitcher but the Arizona offense is not geared to score many runs and Jiminez has all the talent in the world. Look for him to take a big leap forward this year in this low scoring game.
San Diego Padres -130
Pitchers: Young/Wolf
Chris Young dominates the Dodgers at home and may throw a shutout here. I know the Padres don't have much in the way of offense but just about anyone can hit Randy Wolf at this stage in his career.
Oakland Athletics +120
Oakland/LAA Under 9 -105
Pitchers: Cahill/Mosley
Welcome to the world of Trevor Cahill. Him and Brett Anderson are MLB-ready studs the A's have and the only debate about whether they belong at this level has to do with which of the two guys will be the #1 starter and who will be the #2. Both guys can pitch and the Angels offense is not impressive. A's are dinged on offense and Mosley should do decently enough. This is a pick em game at +120.
It always scares me a bit when the lines go against me. This one and the Colorado Under moved against me with all the others showing me with the best line so I'm a little concerned about those 2. Still, Young is a million times better then Wolf and SD will likely only need 2-3 runs off him for the win. I don't understand the move.
I hope they all hit for us. The line movement on SD and Colorado under kinda scared me a little on those 2 but hopefully it's just a bunch of public money.
