Record: 148-147
Profit: +11.01
Chicago Cubs +140
Pitchers: Marquis/Hudson
Although Marquis isn't as good of a pitcher as he has shown this year, I still think the Cubs are a live dog today. Felix Pie has given this Cubbie offense a shot in the arm and they are finally realizing their potential offensively. Hudson has been iffy lately.
Astros/White Sox Under 9 -115
Pitchers: Jennings/Garland
Two very solid pitchers here who don't get enough pub, especially Jason Jennings who was stuck in pitchers' hell in Colorado for most of his career. Lidge is actually pitching well also, which only helps the under. Neither team is hitting well.
St Louis Cardinals -120
Cardinals/Angels Over 9 -105
Pitchers: Santana/Looper
Looper pitches well at home although his recent road struggles indicate he should give up some runs to support the over. Santana can't pitch away from home and if I'm right, the Cardinal bats are waking up and ready to go on a tear.
Boston/Arizona Under 10 -115
Pitchers: Tavarez/Owings
Micah Owings has pitched very well at home this year and Julian Tavarez has been about as solid as you could hope for seeing he's faced the upper echelon of hitting squads time and time again. This should go under easily.
Seattle Mariners +133
Pitchers: Weaver/Wells
Jeff Weaver ain't no gem but he's a hell of a lot better than what he has shown so far this year and hopefully the DL stint helped him out. This is the perfect stadium for him to excel and Boomer ain't throwing that well either. Value on the dog.
