You got arrietta on the mound at home with the wind blowing out. Are those stats real by jake arrieta or not? You can't rely on big runs from the cubs and this is the playoffs. You must make a statement that the cubs are for real and the #1 starting pitcher is for real. Just because jason heyward hits arrieta very well careerwise is not an excuse to give him a double in the first at bat. He didn't score, but that's not the point. This is the playoffs and you have to KILL the cardinals and keep them down.
You're in your home park and you managed to get a steal off a rookie pitcher starting game 2 on the road because jaime garcia sucked ass. Game 3 is a shutout by jake arietta with a low pitch count. Intead, he got behind in the counts and wasn't going to be able to get past the 6-7 inning. cubs are up 7-4 but you can't expect to win the nlcs or world series doing this, just like greinke/kershaw can't expect to win doing the bullshit they did in their first starts.
Who is a prime example who wasn't a fraud? Dallas Keuchel at home like last night. All he did was give up that 1 home run and that's acceptable. He did what he was supposed to do without the need to rely on run support. jake arietta to me might as well go back to the baltimore orioles and yeah this is only 1 game and 1 game only but i am not going to trust him again.
