Logan Mankins out of Fresno St. was a great pick late in the first round three years ago. Now a Pro Bowler he has also started at guard every game he has ever played as a pro.

good point. i think baltimore is the model franchise for 1st/2nd round selections over the last decade. they have been amazing early on. but good teams also have to be schrewd in the mid and late rounds.
i read the article in the herald a few weeks ago and each of the 8 were analzed by a pro scout and the guy admitted new england 1uped the whole league and scouts with mankins, belichek is good friends with the fresno head coach and got the tip on the kid...
wilfork another probowler they got late 1st round...i think they have been pretty solid in their draft choices the past few years....
