Pts-O= The teams points scored per game
Yds-O- Total yards per game gained by the offense.
Pts-D= Points given up per game by the team.
Yds-D- Total yards per game given up by the defense.

SOSR- Strength of Schedule Remaining. A higher value is easier.

Carolina ranks in the middle of the pack (17th) in sacks and they only had 1 last week. If they cannot pressure Brees in the pocket they may be in big trouble in this division match up. Despite their shortcomings on the road, the Saints rate 7 points better than Carolina at a neutral site, so laying a short price with them in this spot is enticing. The Panthers have had issues defending the run all season, where they rank 28th, and in the Seattle game they gave up 119 yards on the ground. New Orleans features the far better offense, and its defense should fare just fine against a sluggish Panthers offense. The Saints are winless on the road this season, but that will change this Thursday night, as Brees will have another good game and New Orleans will win and cover. Panthers and their 18th ranked pass defense will have their hands full. There is no reason why the Saints shouldn't be in first place after Thursday's Panthers game. In order for the Saints to go into a hostile enviroment such as the one they’ll be facing to night and come away with a victory, the Saints will need Jordan to step up yet again, and take matter into his own hands. I believe that he’s fully capable of doing it; and as such, its the reason that I personally believe that Saints defensive ends Cam.... Jordan is the best choice that I can possibly make as my selection — for this week’s “X-Factor” against the Carolina Panthers….Caesars Sport Book has NO at -3 And That's My Bet For Thursdays Game.[ Opened At -1 /1/2]

Ya know! Once or twice, maybe a simple mistake, but I haven't seen "RX" once.
Cmon Harry, maybe a little less disrespect to the fine cappers here at the RX?
Not trying to be dick, just wondering why you always use "SX" instead.

Congrats on the play.

I'm guessing it's he hit s instead of r so now it autocorrects for him. Guy is as solid as they come. I watched him on SBR which is a shit forum compared to this site.

How a team will perform against the spread in following week-of The season is an enormous trap. Its going to be a little tougher 2nd half the season for me. The fact is isolating road teams, road dogs, non-playoff teams vs. playoff teams and teams with a losing record or low margin vs.ones with a high margin from the previous week will be lot more home work for me. Sports Books will adjust inflated lines in some spots especially on non-playoff teams in the second part of the season that are just playing with team pride. My opinion in betting 2nd half season is really watching the money lines because it will have a major impact on the spread with these non-playoff teams. Walk softly and utilize all your past performance, determining your picks is key here.

Looking at two teams Sunday for my press bet. I will still need to do more research and watch the point spread and money line movement, before I post my pick & bet for Sundays game? Miami [ home] -1 & -$125 vs. San Diego and Tampa Bay +7 vs. Cleveland & -$285

Do you consider emotional factors as well? I just read hat Miami's head coach will be back with the team for the game Sunday as he was away most of the week due to his father's death. Does stuff like this inspire the team or since it happened to a coach and not a player does it not mean very much? Thanks for all the great info you have provided.

I use to know Frank Lefty Rosenthal who was sports book manager at Stardust in 70S. J.J. myself use too hang out with Lefty Rosenthal and Bob Martin who told us stories about how the line got ironed out before it was given to the rest of the world. The bar was Thoroughbred lounge owned by Bill Miller[Boxing promoter for strip fight of week at the silver slipper casino on the strip in the 70s} where we use meet. The sportsbook we use you hang out was right next door where we use make our bets Sammie Cohen's Santa Anita Sports Book across street from Stardust in 70s.

Bob Martin was the best linemaker, his trap lines were like Gold in those days.
It's much more difficult today to discern (for me) the fools gold. Enjoy your
posts, great work and skill.
