This about little about J.J. Bascus & Power Ratings Reno N.V. J.J.Bascus was born and raised in Covington KY. His father was an illegal bookie and his grand father in late 30s had illegal gambling joint there called the Kentucky Club. J.J. Power ratings are a local rating and I will explain why? !!!!. He does not have a web site or affiliated with any sports services. Only answers his cell phone for very close friends & family. His power ratings are free..... J.J. Bascus rating are usually on two sheets of paper that he composes and passed to Keystone print shop off of West 5th street in town. They distribute the rating sheets to most sports book in Reno. Everbody and grandmother picks up the sheets that bets NFL football and they copy the rating using their computers, send them to friends, players,and every body and their grandmothers and who ever else?.. His rating is primary seen in the Reno Area and Northern Calf. There are some sporting news papers in "Bay Area",that post his rating to that use there own affiliated names in publishing. There also Sports Web Sites on the web that publish his ratings using there affiliated names also. His ratings are free, not copyrighted. You have to remember that J.J. Bascus, Smitty, Benny, Bee Bee and myself are NFL gamblers that handicap/ We are not social players, advisers or what ever? that handicap games for no other reason other than make our NFL bets and Win !!!!!, just gambling on the games. Believe me I am more than happy to post the ratings and our predictions on SX Sports Forum[ some great members here] that like to bet on the NFL games. This my 1st year with RX as a member and I am very happy to be here with some stand-up friends I met Saints Fan1977, Grindstone30, Indiana... just to name a few!!!! here, and some great members that handicap & bet here on the forum.
In 1951, Binion's Horseshoe hosted a legendary heads-up poker match between poker legend Johnny Moss and wealthy gambler Nick "the Greek" Dandalos. The match went on for months and millions of dollars passed back and forth. Spectators came from all corners to watch, generating serious business for the casino.The World Series of Poker Comes to Binion's . In 1970, the World Series of Poker began. Originally conceptualized as a get together for poker greats who would determine among themselves who was the best, the main event Texas hold'em freezeout, begun in 1971, became the standard way to determine poker's world champion. However another champion arose in NFL Sports betting and his name was J.J. Bascus who determined himself as the best NFL sports handicapper in the country. His power rating is considered the best 80% true. J.J. Bascus & Smitty myself use too hang out with Lefty Rosenthal and Bob Martin who told us stories about how the line got ironed out before it was given to the rest of the world. The bar was Thoroughbred lounge owned by Bill Miller[Boxing promoter for strip fight of the week at the silver slipper casino on the strip in the 70s} where we use meet.I also met System Smitty Ryan and Back Room Benny the Jew then also. We use hang out with each other making bets and became good friends in the old days. The sportsbook we use to hang out was right next door where we use make our bets Sammie Cohen's Santa Anita Sports Book across street from Stardust in 70s.***Note Sports Books Were really not incorporated in most strip hotels and downtown casinos then****}
