The Cubs are -130 at Pinnacle right now and Wood has owned Cincy in his career, and seems to be rejuvenated since coming back from the DL. They were -170+ last night with Prior and won pretty easily. Tonight i expect the exact same thing, Cincy is a miserable team, Cubs are HOT, winners of 7 of their last 8, and the line is begging to be nailed. I plan to do just that.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

CUBS HUGE!!!!!!

I may be wrong but this looks like a trap game similar to Clemens being a +140 on Sunday at STL. Very difficult for a team to sweep on road and Cincinnatti's offense is very capable of outslugging. I like the Reds in this one but won't be playing this game.

What more do you need to see than this?

Wood is 12-3 with a 2.97 ERA and 161 strikeouts in 19 career starts against the Reds. The hard-throwing right-hander, who has not beaten any other team in the majors more than six times, boasts a 10-0 mark in 12 career starts in Cincinnati.

Except <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on">Houston</st1:City> has no hitters capable of doing a thing vs quality pitching, they showed that in the <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">St Louis</st1:place></st1:City> Series...Ensberg can't do it all..The Cubs on the other hand have turned the corner and are slugging the hell out of the ball, they have a ridiculously good record in the new Cincy ballpark.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

This is the 3rd out of a 4 game set, so going for the sweep is not in play here. Wood had a game in Cincy earlier this year where he was staked to leads of 4-0 and 5-1 and ended up with a no decision and the Cubs lost 7-6.

Cubs may win 1 game in STL but that is it. Cubs have failed to win a series in STL in about 6 years. I don't have the exact stats but Cards playing about .800 ball vs Cubs in STL in last 6 years!

Brock, I wish you Good Luck. I'm not playing this game. The Pinnacle line opened at Cubs -129 and has moved to Cubs -126. That tells me the Pinny public slightly prefers Cincinnati at the current odds. Chicago should win, but Dontrelle should have won his last 2 starts.

Patriot said it best. If it looks too good to be true ... be a little careful.

wagerline has the consensus picking the Cubs like 65-35%.

line dropping looks like Pinny looking for more Cubs money

I like cincy even more now.

This seems like one of the best examples of a TRAP .... we'll see how it plays out.

Good luck on the cubs!

HOW CAN ANYONE LIKE CINCY??????? They are a TERRIBLE, let me repeat, TERRIBLE team with NO pitching, undisciplined hitting, And to top it off the Cubs are hot right now.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about, the obvious and ONLY play here is on the Cubs -130, they were -170 last night and that was also a bargain!!!

Harang has pitched much better than his record indicates. The Cincy bullpen has blown a lot of his good outings.

He has a 2.90 ERA at home in 62 innings. He is nails.

Cincinnati also averages over 5.6 runs a game at home.

There is a lot of value on Cincy as a home dog.

Cincinnati at home: 27-24 +3.2 units
Cincinnati on road: 11-31 -15.7 units

This is a classic example of paralysis by analysis, guys, there is nothing to look at here but a BAD BAD team getting steamrolled by a HOT team. Cubs are the only play, at this line you should be putting half your roll on it, i plan on personally nailing it for a minimum of 2 dimes.

Brock...I think you are right on!!! The "value" is on the Reds...but who cares about value with the fav is going to win!!! If the line is a trap...I think it is a reverse trap...Cubs are the play!!!

Good luck bro...I think the Cubs win by 3!!!

I will be on the Reds, and standing in line with the book at the cashier window.

The line is a joke, and 74% of the public are jumping on the Cubs. SO that means the opening -129 has gone to -140? No, it's gone to -124?!?!

This happened with the White Sox yesterday. I was on the Tigers. I will be on the Reds today. GL with your plays.

Harang has been best of the worst in Reds starting pitchers. He is capable of pitching an outstanding game and has done it vs likes of Cardinals. Wood coming off the dl isn't going to jump in without some bumps in the road and start pitching like he is on a serious roll. Hard for a team like Cubs to sweep 4 game series. They have not shown besides this stretch to show any consistency all year. The Reds are lousy but always play tough at home. They won't lay 3 eggs in a row at home. Reds win tonight!
