CONFIRMED: Comey Decided He Wasn't Going to Refer Hillary For Prosecution Long Before FBI Investigation Was Over

According to new transcripts released by the Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday afternoon, former FBI Director James Comey made the decision not to refer then Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for prosecution long before ever interviewing key witnesses.

Members of the Committee allege Comey made the decision months before FBI agents were finished with the criminal investigation into her mishandling of classified information during her time as Secretary of State.

The transcripts were revealed in a letter sent to current FBI Director Christopher Wray, in which lawmakers are demanding an explanation and more documents surrounding the case.

"According to the unredacted portions of the transcripts, it appears that in April or early May of 2016, Mr. Comey had already decided he would issue a statement exonerating Secretary Clinton. That was long before FBI agents finished their work. Mr. Comey even circulated an early draft statement to select members of senior FBI leadership. The outcome of an investigation should not be prejudged while FBI agents are still hard at work trying to gather the facts," the letter, signed by Chairman Chuck Grassley and Committee member Lindsey Graham states. "Conclusion first, fact-gathering second—that’s no way to run an investigation. The FBI should be held to a higher standard than that, especially in a matter of such great public interest and controversy."

"It is unclear whether the FBI agents actually investigating the case were aware that Mr. Comey had already decided on the investigation’s outcome while their work was ongoing. However, it appears that the answer to that question may be underneath some of the extensive redactions that the Department made to the transcripts," the letter continues.

According to the letter and an ongoing investigation into the matter, Comey started drafting a statement exonerating Clinton in April or May of 2016. At this point, he had not interviewed Clinton herself or her closest aides. This included Bryan Pagliano, who set up the personal server where Clinton hosted and shared top secret information, and Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills, who was granted immunity. On July 5, 2016, Comey made his public
statement that the FBI would not be referring Clinton to the Department of Justice for prosecution.

You can read the letter, which contains excerpts from the transcripts, below.

It's a shame that dereliction of duty doesn't apply to appointed government officials.

Release Clinton email probe details, judge orders FBI

Published September 01, 2017

A federal judge has ordered the FBI to disclose more details on how the agency handled Hillary Clinton’s secret email account.

U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg said court papers that describe the grand jury subpoenas the FBI obtained to press for information from Clinton’s internet service providers can be made available to the public, the Washington Times reported.

“After reviewing the document in camera, the court concludes that it largely rehashes information already made public, thus obviating any need for secrecy,” the judge said.

Two groups, Judicial Watch and Cause of Action Institute, have been pressing the government for more information about the Clinton emails, and they say the ruling is a victory for transparency.

“This order makes public details submitted by the government about the FBI’s efforts to recover then-Secretary Clinton’s unlawfully removed emails. Americans deserve to know the full scope of that investigation,” COA President John J. Vecchione told the newspaper.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said he doesn’t understand why the Trump administration was still backing the Obama administration’s fight against transparency.

“President Trump ought to be outraged his appointees are protecting Hillary Clinton,” Fitton said. “The State Department should initiate action with the Justice Department — and both agencies should finally take the necessary steps to recover all the government emails Hillary Clinton unlawfully removed.”

Clinton’s critics have said the FBI needs to make a more robust effort to try to recover those messages that were lost after the server, which was kept at her private home, was wiped clean.

The FBI this week also refused an open-records request from a lawyer seeking the bureau’s file on the investigation, claiming there was too little public interest in the case to outweigh Clinton’s privacy interests.

Judge Jeanine Pirro: It’s Time to Go After ‘Holier Than Thou Comey’ For ‘Obstruction of Justice, Perjury’ (VIDEO)

by Cristina Laila 18 Comments

Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro ripped Comey and Hillary Clinton in a monologue after a new report revealed that Comey drafted a declination letter exonerating Hillary before his investigation was over.

Media was set ablaze after bombshell documents released on Thursday show former FBI head James Comey exonerated Hillary Clinton before the investigation into her email conduct had concluded. Even more concerning is “Mr. Comey even circulated an early draft statement to select members of senior FBI leadership,” reports Townhall.

The former FBI Director also testified to Congress that he decided not to recommended charges in relation to handling of classified information, after the FBI interviewed Hillary Clinton on July 2, 2016. However, a new report reveals Comey penned a memo exonerating Clinton in the Spring.

An attorney for Trump, Jay Sekulow pointed out that Hillary was exonerated and immunity was handed out like candy BEFORE 17 witnesses were even interviewed–including Hillary Clinton.

Judicial Watch’s Director of Investigations, Chris Farrell came out and said Comey perjured himself.

Farrell told Fox News’ David Asman, who filled in for Lou Dobbs on Friday evening that James Comey perjured himself when he said under oath that he decided to not recommend charges for Hillary until after he interviewed her in July.

Now Judge Jeanine Pirro is calling for an investigation into Comey for perjury and obstruction of justice.

“No more cover-ups. No more rigged investigations. No more cutting organized criminal enterprises like the Clinton Foundation any slack.”

“Mr. Holier-Than-Thou” Comey is the “essence of the swamp that Americans so want to clean up,” Pirro said.

“It is time to go after Jim Comey,”

It would be nice to see him serve time for perjury, especially considering how lame he was when using those charges.

He used weak perjury charges to put people away when he couldn't convict them of any other crime. Now we actually have evidence he committed ACTUAL perjury, just like the Clintons and many other people around them have over the years

But it appears perjury doesn't apply to Democrats. In part because they control the message with their criminal colluding corrupt media partners and in part because Republicans and conservatives just don't focus on that stuff against them like they do when the tables are turned
