In 4 months of closely following this forum (and I do read our beloved poly forum her at the RX every day even if I don't post in here on a daily basis.) . I have not seen any threads at all which give reasons to vote McCain other than anti-Obama rhetoric. The only weapon the pubs have, is to try and bad mouth Barack.

So far it seems to me:

- I would pay less taxes under an Obama administration
- He would create more jobs than McCain
- Obama would use our military better than McCain
- Obama actually expresses interest in capturing Bin Laden
- Barack cares about reaching out to world leaders and party line unification
- He is smarter than McCain
- His VP nominee is smarter than McCain's
- He comes across more presidential and as more of a leader than McCain
- Barack can actually raise his arms past his head and knows how to use modern day electronics ; (in touch with modern world)
- He is more ambitious about being energy independant

Now after reading what I just said. Your first reaction is what? You want to bad mouth Barack Obama because what is there good to say about McCain?!

"I can provide the change we need" "My friends" "Maverick" What on earth does JM even have going for him?!

He knows how to use spellcheck.

J/K.....I agree, there really hasn't been anything posted here that would make me want to vote for him. I have not seen anything that would make me believe that he would not be 4 more years of "W".

Rob, I disagree with the premise of your argument and the conclusions you reached.

Based on his history, Obama is less likely to cut taxes, and more likely to increase them.

Based on his history, he's literally an earmark whore for god's sake, he's far less likely to control spending.

I don't believe anybody can or will cut taxes, but I do know Obama will raise many taxes, especially on the wealthy and on business. Problem is, it's the wealthy and the businesses that create jobs. If they have less money, there will be less jobs, period.

So all these promises about cutting taxes and fiscal responsibility coming out of the Obama camp is campaign bullshit. It's not anywhere to be found in his genetic makeup.

As for the military, I can honestly say the Generals at West Point have a different view than you do. To me, Obama is a smooth talking baby lost in the big bad woods.

Drilling here and drilling now is a very important part of any energy package. Once again, it's not practical to talk about energy independence without talking about the bridge to get us there. Problem is, many people on the left want higher energy costs to reduce consumption because they believe in man made gorebull warming.

Smarter? being a good speaker doesn't make you smarter. Common sense is very important in the real world too.

Biden is a smart politician, doesn't make him a smart man. He's says more stupid stuff than any major party candidate ever has, he just gets a free pass.

Your comment about McCain's service inflicted disability is idiotic bullshit.

defeating al-q is more important than capturing OBL. We are defeating al-q in Iraq. Don't even pretend BO will be more pro-active in the war on terror now.

BO, a liberal's liberal, is trying to sound like a Republican to win the GE. Nothing more, nothing less.

We have the homeland security dept. we developed and spent millions on. I am pretty sure that keeps us 'more safe' no reason to still be in Iraq GJ and you know it.

Rob.. I'm sure you're a nice guy and all, but you don't know your ass from your elbow on economic issues.

And Jhonny Mac sounds like a whack nut radical who refuses to reach out to world leaders or change our strategy in Iraq and or cut back our military spending (both lives and money) in a lost cause.

I admit the comment about JM's disabilty was a bit childish on my part.

Cutting back on Military spending would be beyond the dumbest thing any President could do right now.

Our military should already be ATLEAST 3 or 4 times bigger than it already is. If our military was that fucking large we would never have to use it! Shrink our military? You might as well wave the green flag for WW3 to start!

Military spending is another classic example of liberals not being able to use logical thinking processes.

I believe you have been fear mongered into actually believing that. We have the most powerful military in the world BY FAR. What we need to do is allocate our resources better.

Bottom line.........every thing you say about either candidates future presidencey is speculation. The country tends to lead towards the Dems during economic downturns. Repubs usually win elections on moral issues, religion, gun control, family values ect. The bad economy should trump all,who do you want the smart guy or the war hero.

Fear mongered? You don't have the foggiest fucking idea what you're talking about.

Our military is in NOWHERE NEAR IN POSITION to potentially fight 5 fronts in Venezuala, Iran, Russia, North Korea, China if the situation ever came to that.

If our military was larger, we could of sent in enough troops into Iraq from the outset (when about 70% of the country supported the mission), had far greater successes there and suffered far fewer deaths, instead of having the failed Rumsfeld strategy of destroying everything in site and sending in far too few troops. McCain was dead on balls accurate about the surge and he knows a thing or two about the military and the need for numbers.

I don't know why I'm wasting my time with you. You're too dense to even comprehend how important the military is to this country's survival.

You're probably one of these northeast liberals who think if we lower our arms the world will too and all the countries will come together, join hands, and sing kumbaya.

Rob ... the reason that I will no longer seriously discuss issues with the Pubs on this board is that they in GRIEF. The 5 stages of grieving are:

1. Denial.
2. Anger.
3. Bargaining.
4. Depression.
5. Acceptance.

As it is now, they are starting to realize that they are going to be taken back to the woodshed in this election because there is a chance of 60 Dems in the Senate. So, they are transitioning between DENIAL and ANGER.

The Pubs aren't rational people right now and their arguments aren't rational either. Let them cry all day, I say. They'll get over it.

Cinci... You have never seriously discussed issues with any conservative on this board. You sit in the corner then pop your head out taking pot shots like the rest of the clueless liberals. Then when you are challenged you run away or post drivel like this.

You guys have no rational arguments. You don't get into logical discussions. Liberalism is a mental disorder, there is no defense for it.

Sekrah, liberalism is not a 'mental disorder' and I have no idea how this whack nut saying came about but have fun with it. Liberalism is the implied ideal that individual liberity is the most important political goal.

And you are out of your mind talking about heavily occupying 5 countrys and growing our military 3-4 times it's current size, those are radical ideals. Venture a guess on how much further damage that does to our economy? Remember how Reagan reached out to other world leaders and made peace and communicated hence the nick name 'the great communicator'? You guys have lost touch with who you really are.

This is absolute horseshit! If that's the implied ideal, that certaintly isn't what the Dems in on the hill have been trying to do!

My individual liberty? Reaching into my pockets and taking money out and redistributing it to lazy worthless bums who invent reasons not to work?

My individual liberty? Telling me what guns I can or cannot own in spite of the U.S. Constitution guaranteeing it?

I could go on and on..

And you are out of your mind talking about heavily occupying 5 countrys and growing our military 3-4 times it's current size,

What the hell are you talking about?? :think2: I never said anything about occupying 5 countries. I said there were 5 potential war fronts out there. All who seem to have some alliance with each other. These are countries who have been antogonizing the US some of which who have declared US their enemy. If we sank our military like you want to it would be the beginning of the end of this country!! (Which is what marxists like Obama actually want).

Venture a guess on how much further damage that does to our economy?

LOL.. not a fraction of the damage tax hikes on the rich and corporations do. Again, economic ignorance along with your military ignorance.

Remember how Reagan reached out to other world leaders and made peace and communicated hence the nick name 'the great communicator'?

LOL, Now citing Reagan as your hero?? After he defeated the Soviet Union through .. what was it?? Arms Building? While the liberal retards like Jimmy Carter were insisting that killing the military was the best approach.

I see the clueless liberal from the east is trying to show how smart he is.

Rob do you feel awarm and fuzzy inside that the gov come up with affordable housing? Do you feel less guilty of being a white man now that you are sucking on Obama's balls?

I have no guilt to being white. I have no guilt of working for everything I have. I have no guilt of the having more for myself than the no work baby making worthless people that live of the gov (ME).

Please just stop posting in here you just make yourself look foolish.
