they'll GEL about as good as the mets. . .I doubt they make the playoffs. how can you say they'll win it all when the sox still have a better offense, better pitching, a better BP and even a better bench?!??! get real. . .you guys act like you still have clemens and pettit and this team isnt full of problems and oft injured players who are headcases the yanks will be good comic relief as usual.

red sox nation only wishes a-rod luck!

You don't want to go there, headcases how about my "throat hurts Manny" or "i'm going home early to the Dominican Republic because my arm is tired Pedro" we have the best of the D.R. players you've got the babies and whinners.

Who are you people?!?!!?

What makes you believe this Rob?

The Yanks have added all sorts of personalities to the team and NEVER was there an issue of geling ala the Mets. Joe Torre is masterful at handling the lockerroom and Jeter and Bernie make sure EVERYONE who joins the team checks their shit at the door. Sheff could be a potential problem but to make your statement is just asinine.

the pitching for the yanks is questionable once you pass moose and get to mariano (if he stays healthy).. ill bet that brown is on the DL by memorial day.. They loss of Andy Petitte was huge.. Lineup is great and will score a lot of runs is a given but that doesnt make a winner..

ask Cleveland how many world series they won when they were considered to have the best line up in baseball in the mid to late 90's. Pitching wins.

You people are crazy - Schilling, Pedro, Lowe can stop ANY combination of hitters over any 5-7 game strech and that's exactly what it will come down to ... NYY, Ana and Bos in a fierce few weeks of ball

First the Red Sox trade Babe Ruth to the Yankess for some cash...

Next, they allow the Yankees to STEAL AROD away from them because the Red Sox refused to spend a couple of more million dollars per year....

The CURSE of the BAMBINO continues and I don't feel sorry for those obnoxious RED SOX FANS, like Lander!

Odds of Red Sox Winnning World Series in Lander's lifetime?

YES: PLUS 10:1
NO: MINUS 8:1

THE SHRINK

Another great thing about this trade for BOSTON.

This will now end the debate as to who the best shortstop between JETER, NOMAR, and AROD is.

We all know JETERS stock has fallen the last 2 years and is nowhere near the player NOMAR is ......and AROD is no longer a shortstop.

Thanks

You guys are confused - I hate the Masshole BoSox, but if there's one thing that I learned from crowning the Bills Superbowl Champions after week two it's that A LOT of things can happen between now and the playoffs ...

last year everyone (inc me) handed the Yankees the title before playing the lowly fish - well, we're not even talking about a few rookie phenom pitchers here ... we're talking about Schilling & Pedro getting 4 (possibly 5) cracks at the Yanks in a 7 game series.

Schilling and Johnson single handedly beat the Yanks, so why is this so far fetched?

Many Yankee fans and fans in general know who the best shortstop was (ARod) the question is, if you had to start a team and could only take one of the three at SS who would you take.

I would have taken ARod...Sorry fellow NYY fans..I know..sacrilege.

Now since there are only 2 SS in this debate, I would still take Jeter over Normar to start a franchise.

For the rest of you about to start with "what about Tejada"...the above discussion is regarding the old argument re: Jeter, ARod, and Normar.
