Had to go to immigration today for my wife's cedula appointment (the one where they take the picture and all that crap).

Appointment was at 8:15, were arrived at 7:40 ish (you need to be present at least 15 min b4 appointment).

They let her in at 8:00. She was attended at 8:15 and out at 8:20 ish (she was 5th to be called).

We spent another 15 min at Correos de Costa Rica so they send her cedula to the correo office nearest to us (2,600 colones - well worth it to avoid having to go back to immigration since parking alone can run ya 700 colones or more)

All in all we didn't take more then an hour in and out. This is a drastic improvement from when I had to go, which took me 5 hrs.

Some pointers for anyone going for an appointment soon.

- Be there 30 min early, it can be confusing and might take 15 min just to find where to go.

- Ask the door guardian (yes he takes his job seriously lol) what line you are supposed to be in for your appointment time (they do not make it obvious and you could end up in a 11 AM line while your appointment is at 10 AM).

- Make sure you pay the 2,600 colones to get your cedula mailed to the nearest office.

Good luck!
