What I really believe is that pretty much everything can be taken as racially insulting if you choose to.

But there is intent involved. If there is intent involved in an action behind something like this...like those kids waving the Betsy Ross flag with the maga flag against predominately black school. That would be a racist action clearly.


Is the Betsy Ross flag racist by itself? That’s not for me to say honestly. People have their opinions on it I don’t really know enough to elaborate. But what I do know is that Nike has a big contract with Kaepernick...post flag controversy. And it is their obligation to consider his stance and perspective.

Do I think the shoes are racist in itself? Did Nike have that intent? Obviously not. But can some racist kid then turn it into something with racist intent and action? Yeah sure can.
