Personally, I like other cultures. I find them interesting. I don't need to emmulate them, but I certainly enjoy being exposed to them. It's a big world out there.

Multiculturalism means that you live in a community which is multicultural. It has nothing to do with your interest or respect of other cultures.

The US by nature has always been multicutural, and always will be. The key is for groups to assimilate without losing their cultural identity. Irish, Italian, Jewish, German, Scandanavian have all done so.
