For which side was the Cubs/Cardinals line a joke? Just looking at wins and losses the cardinals are 7 games under .500 on the road.

When vegas does throw up a rare bad number, how many strict contrarians are going to blindly follow the other side and help even out their mistake?

Seems to me that from looking at forums like this, the number of bettors out weighs handicappers by a bunch. Course a ton of em are looking to see who their favorite handicapper is on and blindly follow him, but there are also more and more who are looking to go against those same people, and more and more you hear how vegas is getting clobbered.

when big bets come in on a side that is considered bad they either equal out or overwhelm the general public side. vegas wants you to hear they are getting clobbered. the books aren't huge moneymakers anyways. they are kept to turn a slight profit and bring people in the door to dump cash into slots, tables, food and bev and retail. big picture is sports books are chump change in the casino's daily revenue stream. a huge day for the book is an average slot drop.

This week, imo has been a small win for the books so far. Will probably be even going into the pittsburgh game, the way the first 3 are going. The tigers just fuken suck....

Tuesday and Wednesday were Solid

These numbers and plays are based off the "Squares" of the book, the info has anything that is large "sharp" taken out, i like to look at it that way, if not it throws off the numbers. Im sure over the past 2 weeks a lot of sharps have gotten hurt and that has cushioned the fall for a lot of the large books, your right on that Grits, my fault.

Most books won Tuesday and Wednesday, after a horrible Monday to basically even it up. Thursday first wave, 3 games, was pretty even. Most places will actually be up for the week for the first time in 2 weeks, if Florida can hold on, b ooks will make out ona split with Pitt and Florida.

Of course you see all the parlay cards they are allowing now, 3 team minimum. Deleware park for example, but you cant play straight stuff or even 2 team parlays. Teasers and 3+ team parlays, must be nice, thats like having slot machine action, which they do of course lol, and horse racing, 3 best returns for a book. Im always amazed when i get a point for every 100 or 1000 i wager at the sportsbooks in vegas. I put in 30k in places during an ncaa tourney game, my girl plays 200 on slots for 2 hours, and she gets comps off it, i dont and then i have to go play blackjack so my rooms stay free lol.

Its all about the money. As soon as they figure out the best way to cash in on gambling, thats when it will be all over. I could see deleware park opening at -120/-120 LOL

Couldn't you get around that by parlaying monster favorites in spread sports on the ML?

Hahaha does it really? Well that's disappointing. I'm a diehard jets fan so I hope they suck haha just playing. AFC East should be a lot of fun this season.

lvsc sends out the opening numbers to lv casinos that pay for their service. it is not an offshore company. lv does move numbers on air based off of offshore action though.
