Seems like it. dwindling down to cat 1 or tropical depression. See couple bars full of patrons in NewOrleans shooting pool, drinking, playing scramble and juke box.

Where are you getting this information?

:think2:

I'm seeing it still as a Cat 3 and should still be the same when it hits landfall Monday morning.

saw cat 2 on cnn, which means cat 1.

Katrina exposed Cheyney and Bush.

This is too little too late, they can tell cnn to spin any lie they want, its too late.

Thats why I dont watch the fukkn news..They will overblow every storm to stay on the safe side..Giant RED spinning triangles..You can feel the panic in the air..I swear to God the media licks their chops in anticipation and are dejected when there are no storms..They had Miami turned to rubble 2 weeks ago and New Orleans under water this week..Fuck em all!..Home Depot behind this too..I`ll know when to be ready, Freddy...

So you're taking something you heard on cnn and adjusting your own personal factor?

At the time it was pretty much agreed everywhere else that it was a category 3.

I agree with Birdy here Quantamus Leapster..These storms are exaggerated by the media..Even Katrina was not as bad as people think..It was all about the levys breaking that screwed N.O...I have lived in hurricane alley for 45 years..Seen 2 that were really headknockers..Betsy in the late 60s and Andrew was a mutherfucker:shocked:

Just in the past few minutes it was reported that a barrel without a cover on it was rolling down canal street in N.O. What's up with that!

as far as NO goes probably

but still along way to go eye hitting baton rouge now and will be massive flooding with it moving so slow and could stall out in the days to come....

mississippi gulf coast getting pounded with rain and tornados

and the port of NO and south of NO got flooded and hit hard

as far as the city of NO itself and where all the focus is for now....yes overhyped so far....as levees still holding for now

the doom-gloom in tizdoom is hoping the levees collapse, right?

Like stopping and marveling at an auto wreck on I-95, tizdoom just can't help himself.

wtf are you talking about

i don't hope for anything

i just call um as i see um i'm an analyst

like my gloom doom stock market...one day tizgloom will be tizbull....when my analysis tells me to do so

as of right now i think the levees will hold as the worst of the surge is probably past at this point as it slowly moves away to the NW....but you can never be so sure

:missingte I love it!

I think the media exaggerating things is something we all can agree upon Denny. The media was talking about a possible cat 5 and we saw later it wasn't going to happen that way.

I was commenting more on how I thought Rail took the criticisms a little too far by grossly underestimating that it was a cat 1.

I'm saying you're addicted to gloom-doom, hence your nickname.

Market crashes, govt collapses, bank failures, world running out of resources, global economic meltdown, WW III in the middle east, hurricanes, natural disasters...

You're definitely a glass-half-full kinda guy, that's all.

I always callin'em the way I see'em! :tongue2:

i'm "addicted to gloom-doom" cause that's what the times call for

if the banks were solvent and the economy was fundmentally sound under my analysis i would be bullish

only been posting here for a year or so now and ever since things have gotten more gloomy as my analysis was telling me it would do

also natural disasters and such are actually bullish for the economy in general especially now that we got FEMA spending lots of money inefficiently....all the money pumped into evacuating, rebuilding, disaster relief etc.....might cause a little near term pain as far as gas prices....long term its a bad investment since its wasteful......we recovered from katrina just fine since the debt lines were still loose and flowing freely to J6P

This storm wasn't shit - yeah, I wouldn't take a piss in it - and it might be tough to light a cigar - but that's about it
