Is this possibile? 54.5%, 30 plays a day and $200 a play- this is 97k profit a year

this is just a small sampling. I really like CBB better but the board is small lately. Remember these are not WA and I will get out of some if the numbers go against me. Combines with the fact that I have a few locals that use newspaper lines (worse part is I am barely up on them).
I will also try to middle some of these bets if it looks worth it. I find most of my plays right before games and have done GREAT with halftimes (something I never did last year). Hard to get a complete feel posting them but looking at getting great numbers overall.
Yes, I know what you mean, Iceman. Thanks for the small sampling. I have been spending more time in recent months trying to expand my betting breadth (as well as bankroll) and studying line movements, halftime lines (even if only to look at how the halftime lines move one way or another for 10 minutes; lurking basically). I saw so many arbing/scalping opportunities that was staring in front of my eyes but I either didn't have the resources or an account at a particular book. I also do agree that 30 bets on a moderate night (esp when having a big card in one sport like the NBA tonight) are easy to make when factoring into making multiple bets on O/U, 1H/2H, Game selections.

I would think that to answer your initial question, it all boils down to the ability to sustain your bankroll (NOT speaking in general BR terms, no... but more of having sufficient bankroll at all of your online/local accounts) to continue maximize (or at least grab) any opportunities out there *AFTER being in a slump*.

As Doug just mentioned, he keeps pouring money into Pinny (as to make my point) that you may be better off not increasing from $100 a play to $200 a play because if you hit a slump of going 10-20 in one night, but most of them at one book... but next night, you see a major scalping/arbing opportunity at THAT book (as you said, you are more aggressive $ wise on those), you may not have the resources to hit it much, etc.

This thread has been fascinating to read... lot of knowledge being shared, love the RX for that!

personally, it sounds like you're hitting the one obstacle that breaks alot of gamblers:greed..it sounds like you're thinking you should be paid more than what you're being paid(based on the last several threads)..i hope you're not to the point where you're not completely satisfy when you win a bet because you "only" placed x amounts on the wager..i could be wrong, but that's my opinion on this...

I am willing to bet (no pun intended) I bet less per my bankroll than 99% of the posters on here. I am betting around $100 a play into a 15k bankroll. If raising that to $200 a play or so is greedy than I am willing to bet most posters are alot "greedier" (not sure that is a word) than I am.

My dillema is in the fact that I am betting 30 plays a nite and wondering due to my past success if I am onto something because when you break down my past results it looks like I should/could make a 100k profit doing this and to me that almost doesn't sound very realistic and was just wondering if I should just shut up and go for it or keep plodding along at the rate I am going.

Not douting what you say, but be careful.

Betting 3 #s (guessing game and totals) with 2 locals who use the morning paper, but if you volume is not big to their book of business, you might go undetected. Cannot believe guys with substantial customers still work off the paper lines and dont have access to the net. If you win consistently, one day they will figure it out, the they send Guido after you.

The books you are betting steam, same deal. Sooner or later someone may catch it if the volume gets large enough, then they say you are "sharp" and not "recreational" and steal all your profits.

Dont be greedy, if you are flying under the radar, I'd keep it that way.

Iceman, sorry for asking if you have a 2million dollars BR earlier, because you said you were playing at 0.005% per wager, then i realised you meant 0.5%, does it mean you are wagering .15% of your BR per night? how's the system going so far?

Kind of laid low and pulled some money out the past few days but it will be business as usual (just with more local action) going forward as I am down to 5 books.

With such a big college hoops board isn't hard at all to follow the rules I have laid out. I have upped my bet size a little form $100 to $200 on half of my bets and still $100 on other half. So I guess I am betting arround $150 a play.

As far as win pct still right at 55% or so. It is almost eerire how close to form this has held up (hope I just didn't jinx it). Just looked at my numbers since the whole Neteller, pull your money out of book fiasco and I am at 56.6% of 85 plays (4 days worth). Today will be big time as I plan on 50+ plays of cbb with my local changing their numbers every 2 hours or so. If steam wins, the Iceman wins. Just trying to beat that clsoing line.

Some minor bumps in the road lately but still hope to make 2% or so on what I bet.

I let my gut tell me if I'm pressing too much or betting out of my comfort zone. When I'm going good and some great numbers present themselves, I'll let it rip. Other times I'll have action and go to a movie and completely forget that I have bets going. But when you have games going and you start to stress and your stomach gets tight, you're probably betting too high for your BR or you're pressing at the wrong time. Your instincts will tell you when you're doing something wrong. You have to listen to them.
