203? I'm taking the over man. This should go over. Phoenix has been scoring more lately and playing more up tempo than Porter wanted. I hope they keep it up. This should go over easily. Both teams, especially Phoenix, shoot a high percentage.

so u think the away team controls the pace of the game? 1-4 o/u last 5 in the matchup. POR has only allowed 100+ in regulation in 1 of their last 10 games. but i do agree that PHO is an over team even though they were supposed to slow the pace this year. obviously the coach has no control of the team.

well, phx now has j. rich, and their defense has lost its strength from the trade with charlotte. I think the over is the right play tonight.

Well, I've seen more teams give into the run and gun than the other way around. It's just natural. Except for the Spurs, no other team has the discipline to not get sucked into it. How many games have we seen Goldenstate or Indiana on the road where the opponents have played the uptempo style?

Also, it doesn't have to be an all out run and gun style anyways to go over 203. Just an ok pace and good shooting from both teams.

I won't lie, I am nervous about Portland slowing it down and playing defense, using their big men to control the flow, but they played a very high scorign game against the Clippers, a game against Orlando that went over 200, so it should go over against Phoenix. I hope I'm right anyways.

the LAC game was over before OT, but there was 38 pts scored in ot which is very high for overtime. thats why the total looks so high. ORL was on the 2nd of a b2b, which usually spells over, plus howard was out so the interior presence where higher % baskets are scored was less.
what does scare me is that they dropped 109 on SAC last game, who tries to run, but cant score in return.
also what scares me is that PHO opponents have score 100+ in their last 10 games. when POR socres 100+ at home the o/u is 4-4. doesnt really say much.

i look for more of the same from the last matchup 92-102 POR

Can you really see suns being held to only 92 points?

Keep in mind Portland is the slowest pace team in the league by nearly a whole possession over the 29th ranked team, NO, clocking in at 88.9 a game. Phoenix is uptempo, but not nearly as much as you'd think, ranked 10th in pace. Slight statistic edge to the under, but as the previous poster commented who knows with J-Rich. Trade could change a lot of things efficiency/pace wise from what the season stats show thus far.

BOL regardless.

well, i dont know about 92. no, i cant. especially looking at the last 5 games PHO has played. it really depends on which team shows up for POR. you're really making me think over now.

The over will win without a doubt. You think that Portlands big men can post up Shaq and slow the game down?????? Got to be kidding me.

Also, Shaq, has been insisting to the team to run and not worry about him. That he will not slow them down. I don't think Porter has them playing the style that he wants. Look at their games recently. They are not buying into the slow, defensive style Porter wants. Yeah, bringing Jason in and getting rid of Raja bell shows that they are commited to defense, yeah right. Anyways, I'm not trying to shove my play down your throats guys. I'm no expert. Just giving my opinions and appreciate your guys' opinions as I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I have a huge play on the Colts and if I happen to lose that and lose this bet too, well, that could hurt. I'm just really liking the over. Portland's big men and their low scoring games scare me a little though. On the other hand, Shaq and Amare will either get to the line or score. I don't think Portland's big men can contain them either.

Portlands big men are soft. Once they start to fail they will start to gun. If they get down they will start to gun. To keep up with the Suns they will have to start to gun.
