Is this ok to do or do books not allow it?

I signed up for an account with a book today but haven't yet deposited funds (I don't plan to until about 2 weeks from now) My friend asked me for a new book to use and I gave him the name. He is going to deposit there on Friday. Can he put me down as refer and I get a referral bonus?

Your kidding right? How does the book know that you didn't just sign up a account with fake info and then open another account for the referral bonus and sign up bonus.
