5 is such not a key number in the NFL. I always sell to 4.5 in every game where that situation exists.

Probably a wise move to do just that, I would imagine it only bites you once every 2-3 yrs., long-term juice savings will more than pay for it.

Noreaga,

Do you think +6 -106 is better than +5.5 +105? I would say the 5.5 would be better, I just dont think the 6 is worth 11 cents. Maybe I'm wrong though, just wanted to see yours and other's opinions.

I guess it depends what you can buy the half point for at the 5.5 +105

but lets say you cant buy half points.. I would take the -6 -106, no doubt about it.
maybe thats mathematically wrong, but thats what I would do, every single time.

Im not a stat person.

+5.5 +105 is actually quite a bit better than +6 -106. At least in terms of an historical probabilty of getting a push on 6. Especially for the guys who lay the extra money up front (106 to win 100 vs. 100 to win 105) that lowers your expectation, and NEEDED win rate that much more.

A push on 6 has occurred only 2% of the time since '85 therefore it is not profitable to pay more than .05 cents for the hook at this number.
