is this book in trouble?

It's a book you know of, and that many of you play at.

To give them the benefit of the doubt, they should remain nameless for now.

They still owe me a lot of $ on my payout request from a month ago. They've paid me half, but have come up with every excuse in the book to procrastinate (or eventually no-pay) on the other half.

If they were totally in bad faith, I figure they wouldn't have paid me at all or even bother talking to me anymore.

So my hunch is that they're just getting hammered by you winners and having cash flow problems.

Any advice?

No-excuse for this my friend. The big books have borrowing power and get the winners paid. Even in a rough stretch. My guess is no one wants to help them out, or they already owe everyone they can reach out to. If its under 100k no real book should have a problem paying you. How much is owed?

Kenuk, in all fairness, your post serves no purpose unless you tell us the book. Why even post this if it's not to save some other players heartache unless you are hoping to get paid from other postups which sucks as well. I hope this gets figured out for you and I'll be on my Ps and Qs.

i disagree a bit with go2guy on this one.

Ithink the post is fine. He might have told that book that he is aware of the power of the forums and he will be posting awake up call notice today so they can see it.

Its a small piece of leverage for him to use.

Then the book can hopefully look theselves in the mirror and get this job done for him. If not Im sure in 2 more days we can hear all the details.

Best of luck on this.

and to be fair on the book side as well they might have reason to need some time to make sure that there was nothing past post, or insider changing of plays. An audit sort of situation. Still anything more than a few weeks is way out of line.

I really hope this and all transactions from the major books and players are solid.

Do you have some insight on this case or something try or are you just making wild predictions? If we all knew for sure the purpose of the post which could be to light a fire under the books ass then fine but players need to be aware too. I admit he is in a tough position. Come on though with the book may need to audit comments or other stall tactics tapped out or crap books use

Do they owe you 4-figures, or 5-figures ?

really I want to get a little advice so I can resolve this amicably with the book --- and dropping their name at this point won't help that cause

I'm not sure how much leverage these forums have over books, but at the least, I can protect some of the rest of you if this book doesn't pay within a couple days

Apparently, Easybets and other bookmakers refer to kenuk as "The Chargeback Kid":

I agree with some of the other posters...

Do you actually think "preserving" their name is going to help
your cause? Do you think that they hire people to sit all day on the puter
read posts from these sites, then try to match up exactly the person and account?

Listen, I got burned recently from a book, if there is a bad book please let it be known OR
simply bite your tongue and don't even bring it up in the first place...

I'm not dogging you but it's obviously bothering you or else why even post it? C'mon you
knew that everybody wants to know who the deadbeat book is...why do we want to know?
So we don't get F$%^ED that's why!!

WE ALL HAVE TO PROTECT OURSELVES

Also, it has been advised to withdraw funds every week or after a certain amount..ex. if you win $1,000 for the week withdraw funds, keep the minimum you need to play...this way you can't be screwed to hard.

these posts wingeing about slow or no pay from an unnamed book are pathetic.

If the book is properly funded, no amount of flaming on this forum is going to bring it down. If it is shaky and a few negative posts push it over the edge, good riddance Any business which carries on trading once it knows it does not have enough capital to pay its way is no longer a proper business, just a criminal enterprise.

So post up the name Kenuk - post up or shut up.

I always withdraw funds after a big win and keep my balances to within 3 or 4 normal bets. In my experience, 20 withdrawals of $1,500 go down better than one of $30,000.

Not that I have any experience of a withdrawal over $5,000. but there do seem to be posts every few months where someone has trouble getting a big withdrawal out.

So Hali are you saying he has done chargebacks with other books and the book he's trying to withdraw funds from is stalling him because of this or he charged back from the book he is trying to withdraw from?

Sad thing, halifax, is that you haven't a clue regarding this situation.

But ask yourself this --- isn't it possible that a book is truly stiffing me? Considering how little you know, of course you have to say it is possible.

Yet your silly accusations make it not worthwhile for me to expose this and protect other players.

Try thinking next time.

How can you possibly be protecting other players when you won't/wouldn't name the freaking book?

As I stated above, I first wanted advice, to see if I could get this book to act in good faith.

Only if they didn't would I warn others.

However, I am uninterested in battling the industry shills (hi Halifax!) in order to accomplish that.

Sorry.

I suggest next time contact Shrink or one of the mods in private if that is/was your goal. Good Luck.

I would be happy to mediate any dispute if necessary and I think contacting a moderator is one of the best options up front.

Good luck
