im talking about people who regularly post in this area.

willie99 is conservative. mj is. tocco, bblight, i think scott l is, festering zit, dave in vegas, joe c, romo, tizzie

liberal me, d2bets, doc, barman, death eats a cracker, i think eek is, i think nimue is too not sure and i think muddy and spytheweb is.

i'm trying to figure out if this is the place to get my opinions out on poltiics or a site like democractic underground where more people agree with me. i have a tough time though trying to gauge a lean on this forum.

You're better off in here, the variation in posters is pretty huge.

You can also search for a lot of stuff in here, a lot of posters in here have coverered an absolutely huge range of subjects.

If you get serious about politics you can always move on.

I thought I was in the minority until recently. A lot of the newer guys, with the exception of doc's posse, seem to be conservative.

In any event, this room should be used for recreational purposes only. Nobody changes any minds here, especially since we all tend to already have determined our political preferences.

You need some virgin minds to have any impact. Maybe the guys who browse but don't post might be swayed on some issue, maybe not.

Conservative on fiscal issues, crime, and border control.

Liberal when it comes to many social issues, drugs, and Iraq.

I am leaning towards Obama right now but would seriously consider Tancredo if he was the GOP candidate.

I'm pretty much middle of the road..I vote according to what I think America needs. And what I think will be good for the country at the time I vote..My grandfather told me many years ago that we need a new party to run this country and shake things up every few years whether it thinks so or not..And that was coming from a small business owner republican..So I've pretty much taken that advice to heart..I've voted my fair share of both parties along with a couple independents in my day..This country is now ready for that change my grandpa mentioned. So I think you can guess who I'm voting for.

I like Ron Paul. And I agree with many of his views..But some of his ideas are better served for 19th century politics. Unlike many modern day politicians though, at least his heart is in the right place.

I don't think it's either Lib or Con. Nor should it be. There are many here who lean extremely to one side though, who are ensconced and unswayable

I think a major error some might make when pinning a label on another poster is defining RIGHT as those who support the Iraq invasion and believe 9/11 was carried out by Muslim extremists. And defining LEFT as those who do not support the Iraq invasion and think our gov't did 9/11.

These are the most discussed issues here. But there are other issues that reveal one's political leanings.

What if someone believes removing Saddam was the correct thing to do? However, he/she also believes gays should be allowed to marry. And pot should be legal. Try labeling that Left or Right!
